That Rick Rude figure is so much better than the original LJN Rick Rude figure, which was in a posing position with his hands on his waist, not much in the way of playability.
Oh my goodness this collection is beautiful! Those metal spikes are so cool! But that Sting is definitely my favorite. I have an original Junkyard Dog LJN figure from 1986. It's my holy grail figure, mainly because it's the oldest, biggest, and I'm a Louisiana boy. JYD was a huge deal in Louisiana.
Mr. Perfect looks like a blonde pre-Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner. Still very cool. All these wrestling figures are cool. I'd be proud of such a collection.
Haha, was going to jump down here and comment on that (mostly wondering how someone with a customized LJN wrestling toy collection behind glass doesn't know who Rick Rude is), but as the video continued and you named both members of the British Bulldogs and the Powers of Pain and then had an actual Mr. Perfect figure appear later on, I realized it was just a brain fart on your part. Awesome collection! I remember visiting a friend's house on Long Island and he had all the LJN Wrestling figures, the ring and the cage... and he wasn't even that big of a wrestling fan! I thought they were awesome. I own Piper and am looking to buy a Heenan one as those are my two fav wrestling personalities.
Wow, such an awesome video, brother!! I truly appreciate the shoutout, too! The Legion of Doom figures is exactly the figures Random Treasures should have made. The inclusion of the shoulder pads and spikes just makes the figures all the more perfect. I have also been dying for some really good Rocker figures but haven't seen any that made sense to me. Your version, along with the British Bulldogs was probably my favorite among the lot. I am glad you found yourself a perfect Bam Bam figure, so much better than the original with that amazing pose. Dino Bravo will definitely be high on my list for future acquisitions. Thank you so much for sharing your figures, Chad! Some truly amazing pieces in there.
You got it buddy! Your channel and collection are a true inspiration. If you are interested, LJNcustomfigures.com has some great customs. The prices are in Aud, so they end up being quite a bit less in USD. Shipping isn't too bad either. Some figures are rubber and some are resin. Jonasrules on eBay has a lot of customs for sale, some of which are pretty darn good. I am not sure who sculpted the Rockers, but did pick them up from him. Thanks for your support as well my friend.
@@chaoscollectibles Awesome, thanks for the reference, brother!! I have the webpage saved. I will see if I can find Jonasrules on eBay. Word of mouth is always very important and I really appreciate the recommendations. I look forward to future videos, Chad!!
It'll be sooo raw if those guys who make these custom figures could make marvel characters out of ljn figures too. The first 4: thanos, the hulk, colossus, and juggernaut
@@NJDAVE you’re absolutely right. They cut the series off before they were able to finish it. Big Rubber Guys released Demolition and I think they look way better than the LJN Axe. They are limited, so I’m sure they are pretty expensive in the secondary market.
Hi stumbled across you’re video sick collection ! I have the random treasures road warriors / legion of doom and I’ve been scouring the web for some shoulder pads that fit them and those look perfect ! Could you please let me know where I could find those pads ?! Thanks in advance !
Thanks for the comment buddy. I bought the Road Warrior Figures from eBay a couple years ago. I am not sure where the shoulder pads came from, as they were part of the set when I got them.
I may in the future. Right now, my focus is 5.5 inch figures. Mattel definitely needs to do this. I believe they would sell just as good if. It better than the current lines they have. LJN figures are the best wrestling figures in my opinion.
Thanks Buddy, the stands are Kaiser Doll Stands. Be sure to get the 2075 stands, as they fit figures 6 1/2 to 10 inches tall. They come in black or white. I got them on eBay. Amazon may sell them as well.
Im thinking about ordering some figures from random treasures. From what I see they do awesome work. You did mention you can get cracking on custom rubber figures. Have you had any cracking on the Random treasure figs?
The cracking normally happens to custom figures that have been cut up and put back together. The cracking generally happens at the points where the rubber meats the apoxy sculpt. This is a result of the expansion of the rubber during temperature and humidity fluxuatuons. The apoxy does not expand like the rubber does. As far as Random Treasures, I personally have not had any issues. However, my buddy Matt has. I invite you to check out his videos. Matt Watson, he has a fantastic channel dedicated to wrestling figures. Search his name and Random Treasures.
The only figure I painted was Dino Bravo, which is a Resin Printed Figure. I have not touched up an LJN figure. When I do Custom figures, I use Vallejo acrylic paints. I would never recommend a cheap Walmart paint, although some people do use them, the result is not as good.
I appreciate the comment. Matt is a great guy. The video is as initially made to share my collection for him to see. His collection is fantastic! His channel inspired me to make my own.
Awesome, amazing collection! The LJN WWF figures (alongside the Remco AWA figures) are my favorite action figures. My best friends and I played with those bad boys for hours, back in the day. Amazing, wonderful memories playing with those figures. I no longer have any of my childhood figures, but I started to collect them again back in 2017 and now proudly own the entire collection. I also own over 30 Random Treasures customs. I enjoyed watching this upload and I also enjoy watching Matt Watson's channel, as well.
Thanks!!! I am very selective in what I purchase. Glad to hear that you have rebuilt your collection. I have another figure on the way, it should be here next week. I’ll do an action figure spotlight video, once I receive it. Thanks for your support!
Powers Of Pain vs LOD would have been an interesting match up (not sure if they fought outside WWE), but Pain were disbanded before LOD debuted in late 1990, so real shame.
They did have a few matches right before the powers of pain left the AWA and went to the WWF. Would have been great to see these 2 teams face off during their peak.
These were the best! Early childhood years growing up 💪🏾🔥
Wow, never knew there were customs of these guys on the web!
Make Sensational Sherri.
She deserved an action figure as well for being so prominent in the 80's and early 90's.
That Rick Rude figure is so much better than the original LJN Rick Rude figure, which was in a posing position with his hands on his waist, not much in the way of playability.
I agree! I've seen that one where his hands are on his hips and I've never cared for that pose. This one is much better!

The Top Row is actually Hogan, Warrior, Zeus and Rick Rude, not Mr. Perfect.

Love that Barber figure! Desperately wish we could have gotten an updated LJN of him. Very jealous!
The LJN line was cut short. They should have finished the black card series and done at least one more.

Actually with the design on the side, the last figure on the top row looked more like Jake The Snake Roberts
It’s Rick Rude. I pinned a comment after posting the video, as I mistakenly called him Mr perfect.
