The correct understanding of iterative and recursive query. Sir has mixed them up.
Iterative DNS Query:
the client (usually a DNS resolver) sends a query to a DNS server, which responds with a referral or an answer. If the DNS server does not have the answer, it sends a referral to the client, which then sends the query to another DNS server. This process continues until the client receives an authoritative answer or a negative response.
Recursive DNS Query:
In a recursive DNS query, the client sends a query to a DNS server, which assumes the responsibility of resolving the query. The DNS server recursively queries other DNS servers until it finds an authoritative answer or a negative response. The client does not need to send subsequent queries; the DNS server handles the entire process.
