YAY I picked up on the 'Anna'logue test mention the other week as a potential hidden clue and it actually turned out to be an official clue in the end! It does seem though that the Mole didn't really have to do much this season and most of the money was lost simply down to the other candidates, interesting how most of the candidates suspected Fons though which shows how different it must be actually competing in it to watching it on TV...big shock with the 'Hello Anna...this is Babs' moment from Dennis!

This is the first time in 8 seasons of watching live that I've guessed the mole, and I had them from episode 1!

I have mixed feelings about this season. I picked Anna after Episode 1, but changed by mind about halfway through the season and was convinced it was Rosario going into the finale. I should've stuck with my gut instinct! It's a bit disappointing that a lot of the money was lost not due to Mole actions, but due to others removing money from the pot. And if you follow the money, Anna brought in the most of any candidate. However, I did enjoy seeing some of the sneaky things that Anna did to throw away items. Talking to Charlie in Spanish and telling him to say his name was Carlos was genius. And her disguise in Episode 1 was well done.
I very much enjoyed that there were a few big surprises in this finale. How crazy is it that Dennis called Babs thinking it was Anna?! Very interesting that Fons noticed Anna's suspicious actions on the tuk-tuk. And that was a very funny sequence when Kees was telling Anna that she is probably doing stuff behind his back in the canoe and winking to the camera.
Despite some of my complaints with the show's imperfections (if the winners are giving the money to charity, doesn't it feel a little wrong to take so much money out of the pot?), WIDM is still my favorite show in the world and there's really no other show where the viewers get so engaged and have such a vested interest every week. Thanks again to Marieke for allowing us to see it and understand it outside of the Netherlands!

Yeah, I think the Mole has had their work cut out for them in the most recent seasons. It's way too easy to lose money in the challenges. But at least Anna made it work for herself by making herself less obvious

I was secretly hoping it wasn't Anna because it seemed so obvious.
It wasn't my favorite season. As mentioned before, it's already so easy to lose money in the difficult tasks that the role of the mole is more one of curiosity.
I would rather they had the mole engage more in mind games and manipulation in tasks that depend more on the contestants decisions.
But I can't complain, I love it anyway!

I'm kind of kicking myself. I was onto Anna especially during the wrestling task but I fell into groupthink about it being Rosario. More than anything, I'm surprised that the poll was onto Anna while the comments section seemed to be onto Rosario and the candidates seemed to think it was Fons. I was never on Fons just because it felt so obvious and, funnily enough, I eliminated him because I thought they wouldn't do the first Day of the Dead task if he was The Mole because his mustache would be so noticeable.
As far as the season itself goes, I'm with the majority who don't like how easy it is for players to take money out of the pot themselves so The Mole has less work to do. I feel like when the money is going to charity, the players have a much stronger incentive to Mole themselves and play selfishly so the consequences really should just money not going in as opposed to it coming out. Picking a wrong envelope being enough to take 3,000 away is just too much.
And again, I want the hidden clues to be in the actual finale! They could cut Rik's speech about why all of the finale three are suspicious in half and fit that in. But, on the plus side, I'm a big fan of how we didn't have an episode that was just the finale three playing for more money. The penultimate episode has typically been anticlimactic so having the finale right after four place is eliminated is much better. All in all, a fun but flawed season.
i actually think the idea of the final test being at 4 is a great change. less chance to someone lucking into winning.

Program will return earlier with difrent host (like Rik was too it somebody who was earlier part of the series) and with unknown people. This is to celebrate 25 years of program. Possible in September but is not confimd where or this means new host wil replace Rik.
The new host you can see in public of this episode and at the end Rik does not say till next year but till next time.

Yes. Extra season with non celebs. 2 episodes a week on Fridays on NPO start. Streaming service for the Dutch public broadcaster. I will subtitle, but there are some buts since it is in the summer. Will upload a video on it in due time.

I had a chance to be at the reveal for a second time in a row, 2023 at the Palaise and then this year back in vondelpark. I even had a sign made up, but i was in the far right side of the audience area so it couldn't be seen fully as it was blocking to many folks.
