To our valued customers we regret to inform that we have had a data crash here at the vault. Please bear with us and exercise patience as we work to correct issues within our system. You have yet to see
your Gem Mint 10 Darth Vader rookie and never will.

The problem is that you are now treating cards like stocks. But trading cards are not investment tools that earn compound interest, there are no government regulations setup to keep your cards' value. If you want to invest, you really need to do it in a correct market with proper risk mitigation. No collector is spending more money on a current rookie than a hall of famers rookie card. That is investors speculating and treating trading cards like it's an actual stock market, in reality the chance of any single really good basketball player becoming more famous and more collectable than the few who have stood the test of time, is one in billions. This is called a bubble in economics. Guess why they call this a bubble market? It will pop and prices will return to what is normal for a collector to spend on a little paper picture of some guy. Remember the housing market in 2008? It was just a bunch of banks selling mortgages back and forth for a profit, until people couldnt pay and those mortgages were completly worthless, then the largest financial entities in our country had to be bailed out by the tax payer. The same will happen here, those who treat trading cards as an investment will end up financially ruined. That's the point of corporations, acquire the most amount of money they possibly can, even if it means bending the rules and an occasional law. Im not a psychic but these are known patterns in economics that will happen. Every last possible dollar will be drained by large companies before the collapse happens, just like the banks in 2008. Im not saying its impossible to currently make a quick buck, but eventually someone will be the last investor on a card and they will lose all of their money they paid for a little paper picture of some guy. Owning a stock, or a piece of a for-profit business, actually has value that someone will buy and earns you compounding interest.
I'm all for diversifying assets for protection, but you really shouldn't treat cards as an investment.

Well said! I might be too late, but I’m dumping everything, and putting my money with my other investments. Sports card pricing is coming back to reality, and it’s going to be a hard fall for a lot of folks.

What happens when a card is sold on eBay, listed as NM or better, ships to PSA, and grades a seven? That’s where the problems begin

The same thing as now. You own a PSA 7 you bought off of eBay. That is always the problem when buying used things, you can't rely on what the seller says, of course everything anyone sells is worth top dollar to them. It would still be fraud to say you are selling a PSA 10 but ship a PSA 7. I'm not sure how anything would change. Am I missing something?

@@scottmattern482 YOUR ABSOLUTELY MISSING SOMETHING! eBay just committed to the condition of a listing without verification. They’re trusting their current RAW sellers to be HONEST😂😂😂😂😂.

@@scottmattern482 you’re Absolutely missing everything! I never mentioned anything about buying graded cards. If I buy a RAW card on eBay that is listed as NM or better, elect to have it shipped directly to PSA, and the card grades a 7. I have every right to make a claim on eBay because the condition of the listing was not accurate. Could I see PSA acknowledge the condition listed on eBay because they’re in bed together. Absolutely! It’s a bunch of BS, that eBay will regret sooner rather than later. They make most of their sports card revenue from shady RAW card sellers.
