She then put in yet another claim on her expenses for her "second home" Yes, a second home, but this time for £10,800 for her council tax again why has she got a need for a second home when she has 11 Downing Street where she has all the energy she wants for free!!
She also has a great mp pension to look forward too.
This woman and all the others on that front bench should try and live on a basic state

If her heating is only on 13 it wouldn't cost £41 surely. Some of this is scare-mongering. I bring in the same amount as the state pension and last week my combined fuel came to £80 for the one week (£65 for gas and £15 for electricity) and my average food bill is £23 per week. There was still something left over, it must be awful when the only income is universal credit. I'm not worried because I know my bills won't be this high when the weather improves. I am angry at the cruel way the withdrawal of the fuel allowance was brought in, no advice, no preparation. I really hope this lady does get pension credit. I just worry that people are starting to feel they can't afford heating when they can. Edit: it has been in the news that this lady has now been found eligible for pension credit!!! Wonderful. Someone made a cynical comment in relation to this that the elderly would rather complain than apply for the benefits. Maybe that's a bit harsh, but I seriously think that the news people would prefer to report how cold the elderly are because it's a good story to them, rather then keep passing on the message to apply for pension credit or that there are people managing on low incomes.

I feel for this lovely lady, after caring for her late husband she should be able to rest now without the worry of putting the heating on. Shame on the energy companies and the government. Sending the lady our love and hope she gets the extra money and has it back dated.❤

It’s true that there were millionaire pensioners receiving the winter fuel allowance who just didn’t need it. Tho the threshold for receiving it is now set far too low & needs raising. The government needs to redo its sums.

I have solution. Go and visit your neighbours, specially around meal time. Try to get free food. Everyday, try different neighbours. Hope that helps
