    L/S of street in Berne - high angle. Various cars and pedestrians are seen, also a tram and a horse drawn cart. C/U of detail on the famous clock tower. Various shots of parts of the clock. A metal cockerel crows and moves its wings. "All sorts of mechanical contrivances are set in motion when the chimes ring out - " Low angle of the figure of a jester moving its arms and legs to ring a bell. C/U of part of the clock which features little bears moving around on a revolving platform. Shots of a model representing Old Father Time turning over his hour glass. "And this has gone on for five hundred years and nothing can be done to stop it!"
    L/S of the Cathedral (?) pan down to the rooftops. Shot of the street seen earlier. Montage of shots featuring parts of the clocks as we hear the bell chiming on the soundtrack.
