Britain's problem are the elected because the electorate is so total devoid of judgement, so totally immersed in their own interests. I prefer the unelected in the main. I attended both the lords and Commons Debate [if you can dignify it as debate in the elected commons] On the Foot and Mouth Epidemic The Lords was infinitely superior, a number of scientists spoke, a Bishop with training in Biology, the Countess of Marr , and their contributions were useful in forming a plan of action. You should not judge the Lords on the basis of Tory Corruption, at the moment the Lords are the only part of our system which is working, apart from the Judiciary . This government, since Brexit is a disaster, because the electorate elect dumbos, and then when they get what they deserve they whine and shrug off their own responsibility.. We have the government the electorate chose and they deserve it because they are in the mass stupid

@@benedictcowell6547 No, Britain's problem is too little democracy, voter turn out is low because of apathy due to cynicism and despair and indeed this is intentional, the voting system rewards zealotry and extremism not popularity, a remarkable thing happens when the whole eligible electorate votes, the extremists and the stupid instead of being rewarded are drowned out.

The best way for Labour to deal with this is this.
Tomorrow Kier Starmer should suspend Elphicke from the labour party and use the revelations from the Tories to do it. Then they should ask the Tories publically to explain why they have only NOW come forward with offences they knew about 4 years ago. Then ask them to come clean on any other offences they are sitting on.
That would be a blinder by Kier and put the onus back on the Tories.

Dave "do as I say" Cameron tries to slight labour about propriety Natalie Elphicke her for lobbying, she pleaded guilty and she was punished, by the Parliamentary Standards Committee investigation, but why didn't the Tories present this to the Standards Committee, whilst she was a Tory politician but it seems now she has defected to the opposition Cameron finds those actions reprehensible. Doesn't Dave realise it was his Tory Party that didn't contact and report her actions to the S.C. He also fails to recall his own actions investigated by the Standards Committee In 2020, several months before Greensill Capital collapsed, Cameron lobbied the the government to change the rules to allow it to join the Covid Corporate Financing Facility scheme, which would enable it to issue government guaranteed loans to support firms during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, which had had a major economic impact.Cameron personally lobbied the Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak via a series of text messages. There was also at least one phone call between the two, the nature of which was not disclosed. Cameron's requests on behalf of Greensill were declined The foreign secretary was repeatedly asked and failed to answer, by the BBC how much he earned from the company at the centre of fraud investigations in two countries. Documents uncovered by BBC Panorama in 2021 indicate the ex-PM earned £8.2 ($10m) promoting Greensill Capital.

Wouldn't the more powerful message from Starmer be to be reject Elphicke? Even the Count refused her

And if Starmer withdraws the whip based on these "new" revelations, stating the Conservatives would have investigated the allegations at the time, and upon exoneration said she is fit to be a Conservative MP, what does that say about the PCP and its lack of leadership?

It begs the question that if the Tories are so enraged about her lobbying judges why didn’t they submit this information to the standards enquiry into her behaviour? Could it be that they covered this up & are now, unwittingly, exposing their own corruption? They’re too stupid not to.

It is indeed the same old cakkk...but unfortunatley, I just can't laugh about it. How people like this are anywhere near public life after what they have done is a total tragedy. I do wonder sometimes if he actually realises that he's speaking cakkk. I suppose he may be entirely surrounded by folk who tell him he's a 'safe pair of hands', a 'wonderful statesman', etc....but he's really just a vaccuous walking haircut.
