    Another aspect of Interlinks is that the more Arts they use the quicker the timer goes down, so there could be a group of or a singular antagonist acting as the "Art" trying to speed it up.

      @ndartehkewl1282 7 месяцев назад +3

      That could be, though I imagine that would be a separate faction from the main antagonist of the story or a crazy force of evil that comes in right at the end like Zanza. From a narrative perspective it makes a lot more sense in my opinion for the “villains” to be representing the sentiment of the public to cancel the “interlink” before it’s too late, while the main characters are fighting to keep the worlds together rather than tear them back apart, in a sort of thematic inverse of 3

    I think it could work with the theme of the sword of the end being a sword meant to destroy Aionios but to create a new world. Like essentially while Malos may be a being of destruction and he's meant to destroy matter in the trinity processor, it doesn't mean he's necessarily a malevolent entity. I think similarly to how Noah and N only truly could escape Aionios when they vowed to destroy it maybe Malos will be needed to destroy something in order to ensure the future is brighter, Pnuema is in control of creating matter, Ontos is the administrator, Logos is the destroyer.

    I laughed way harder than I should have at ur INDEED impersonation! I love Malos so much (him, Jin and Lora have sentimental value to me that they are my fave fictional characters ever) that I will scream, cry and die all at once if this theory is true. They probably can’t say if David Menkin will return either due to a NDA. David Menkin should have won an Oscar for voicing Malos. Him voicing Malos is more Oscar worthy than actual Oscar winning performances actually are. Also, if Malos is inside N’s sword, does that mean that N is his new driver now?

    • @JMulls
      @JMulls  7 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you! Impersonating his INDEED is fun to me and I find myself doing it whenever I see the word even in other games lol
      2 has my favorite cast of villains, they are just big personalities, tell compelling stories, and just work so well for the game imo. But like I said in the theory, I think there's a lot of room to flesh out Malos so much more and continue that story if they so choose to, and they are now hinting that he'll get more story in SOME capacity in the future with the art book to my knowledge, so it''ll be really interesting!

    I have to wonder if the other trinity processors are responding to the gift that Klaus gave to Pneuma by seeking the perfect circumstances to split into two as well. This would line up with my theory of how the data of Malos got into N's sword of the end - Aion's programming stored his personality, and that's how Malos was able to ask Pneuma if she enjoyed living. We'd have the two personalities of Pyra/Mythra, The two split physically with A and Alpha, and the split consciousness from body of Malos's personality to the Logos Core. This would also explain how Malos could be reincarnated while Logos would not - Malos's AI personality exists in N's sword, while Logos's core crystal with the imprinting of Amalthus lies in a million pieces at the bottom of Alrest's ocean.
    It'd make sense if Aion was designed so that the cockpit could withstand the force of self destruction since humanity would want to keep the Trinity Processor within intact, considering that the trinity processors are humanity's absolute authorities at that point in the story. Rex salvaging the remains of Aion also makes sense since the materials used to make Aion could be used in Origin, so that's how Malos got into Origin's servers. Its highly possible that Origin Metal could've been used in Aion's creation, after all.

      Alvis. That's how. That's his trinity sibling.
      I think that's why malos befriended jin. There must have been a part of him that reminded him of alvis. The red core crystal and similar enough appearence. I've been saying for years that jin is the knock off alvis of 2.
      Jin indirectly makes appearence through his arts: which both mythra and malos would've known about.

    I assumed Pneuma just have Logos's backup data inside her core (this was shown in XB2) and that's why Origin recreated him.
    Also, remember that certain character from X whose appearance lasts for a few seconds wears a black armor and wears a purple core in the chest.

  • @TheWorstPartyMember
    @TheWorstPartyMember 7 месяцев назад +5

    Personally, I'd like to see the next game feature a female protagonist (just to be different) and Malos (or whatever name he's going by at that point) be a party member. You could tell an adorable redemption arc through that by having the two of them grow to love each other as the game goes on. You can go in two directions too, romantic love (for a gender swapped Rex/Pyra/Mythra dynamic, real poetic) or a more father/daughter brother/sister love...which I'm a huge sucker for.

    Another idea, that I think is way less likely. But I love. Is the idea that the villains find out what Malos did in the world of 2, and they try to find a way to fully restore the core. And the conflict revolves around trying to stop them from resurrecting Logos, leading to the point where he ends up reawakening, and he ends up becoming the final party member, because he doesn't want to go down that path again.
    Just an idea that came into my mind, but I really like it, tbh.

  • @Axecon1
    @Axecon1 7 месяцев назад +25

    The Trinity process will always exist as long as one of them is still active. They essentially serve as backup data for each other. When Malos was destroyed at the end of XC2, his data was essentially recovered by the Ontos/Alvis core crystal. Since Ontos was the blueprint for origin (not Pneuma), Malos's data was able to be recovered and reborn into Noah's sword data. Also a bit of a stretch, but I believe Noah is the son of Malos & Jin due to his data & attributes.
    The Trinity processor also serves another interesting religious parallel. Ontos is the creator and heavily influence the world design of XC1 & XC3, Pneuma is the preserver and as the Aegis has the power to protect, and Logos is the destroyer, fulfilling his role to destroy the world in XC2 & break things in XC3.
    I honestly have no idea how XC4 or whatever future entry will tie to the previous Xenoblade/other Xeno games. Personally, I think it might be the bridge entry between Blade/Saga and Gears (the 5th of 6 games). Matthew (Fei's ancestor) will likely have some sort of lead role again. As for Malos, Mythra's kid, and the previous Xenoblade casts, I'm guessing there will be an eventual Xeno Warriors game to wrap up loose ends from the trilogy and finally give us Mythra's kid.

    • @danielmunoz1275
      @danielmunoz1275 7 месяцев назад +7

      Interesting theories. Although, I think the Malos's and Jin's data making Noah their son does no lt make sense.
      Mainly because Noah existed in XC1 world and both Jin and Malos are from XC2, and most importantly, Noah existed before the collision event. In other words he existed before origin made recreations of people with its stored data. So og Noah did have parents.

    • @RedTheWeeb
      @RedTheWeeb 7 месяцев назад +2

      Noah existed before malos and jins data could of made a kid. Anyway malos getting a pass makes sense since ontos and pneuma could make up logos lost data but jin would HAVE to be carried by master blade pneuma which no longer exists considering pyra and mythra split (albeit they are pneuma again as a core in name but we have 0 clue if that form ever will return)

  • @GRK_2024
    @GRK_2024 7 месяцев назад +4

    i personally think it would be possible that the new form of malos(lets call him Palos or smth) would fight malos but to awaken malos mythra would push the driver of palos to a limit similar to how rex was pushed to a certain limit to awaken mythra. a solo boss battle between 2 forms of logos would be very cool and Palos would convince Malos that they can atone for their own sins and for humanity's sins

    • @stilldamaged3945
      @stilldamaged3945 7 месяцев назад +1

      more accurately Pyra was crated by Mythra as a means of suppressing her power and self, whom was awakened by Adam, she re-appeared when Rex was in a dire situation, however she was not a new form she was the original who created a alternate form. Malos if he is to return would be unlikely to have a 2 forms, he may have a different form due to being reawakened from a different driver but he would presumably need to go through a similar type of trauma to form a alternate form.

    • @GRK_2024
      @GRK_2024 7 месяцев назад

      @@stilldamaged3945 maybe he doesnt need a trauma to form an alternate form, ontos developed a new form when being shulk's blade,he just doesn't change his appearance and he was split up into A(alvis) and alpha because of Gondor(using pneuma's power) to do so, similarly pyra/mythra could try to use their pneuma powers to split the new form from malos

    The way I see it, we have XBC1 which focuses primarily on the future with the Monado and the potential that brings, XBC2 focuses primarily on the past and how that affects everyone, XBC3 focuses on the endless now and breaking that cycle for the sake of something greater. XBC4 could be a mix of all these aspects that made up the three games and put them together to lead to some big finale. The Malos theory definitely seems the most plausible. One way I could see it working is if they make Malos with a completely opposite persona to what he was in XBC2 where he comes off as a savior and then finds himself face to face with his sins and how he reacts and the people reacts to seeing all this because when you see yourself at your absolute worst the true colors of your character shine through the hardest and you see who truly cares about you, and Malos will basically fight to prove to himself and those around him that he can be so much better than he was and can lead to something greater. This is just me throwing stuff on the wall, but it sounds like a fitting way to conclude XBC if this was an option we had to look forward to.

    Imagine if we got a mc who is similar in personality to malos. A developing god complex compensating for being weak in some way, a funny jerk - malos was definitely the type early on, teasing nia - and who knows its wrong to feel complete when destroying things. He knows its wrong to react that way especially when people are dying as a direct result but in the moment he can't help himself. Friends reduce the times he falls into these moments but they can't prevent a developing psychosis with enough love. It would be interesting to start with him as a protagonist and end with him as an antagonist, fully losing himself to the more psychotic nature that develops over the game. No one wants to see a person struggle and lose to mental illness but it happens all the time and there's nothing you can do. Could develop from abuse he suffered as a baby/toddler before he was old enough to remember anything.

    The whole thing about the worlds interlinking and needed to be split up again isn't necessarily going to happen, as controlling Origin means controlling the world, and Origin could've been used to re-write the laws of the world, as it did when it was used by Moebius to create Aionios.

  • @darkstarmobile
    @darkstarmobile 7 месяцев назад +1

    @Jmulls it’s more simple than that. The next game will continue with the theme of unification. The two worlds were made one again, and that world is clearly earth or “Lost Jerusalem.” Remember in Xenosaga lore, Lost Jerusalem disappeared and they couldn’t go back. Now that Lost Jerusalem is back, Saga will also be completed/continued from there. Saga’s crew is gonna find Lost Jerusalem inhabited by the original people of that world. This will be a conflict point for one. For two, Malos did ask what things would be like if Rex was his driver. We will get the answer to this in the next game as well. Malos didn’t die. His core went dark the same as Pneuma’s core. Mythra and Pyra came back in the end of 2, and Malos would have as well because of the last action of Klaus. He gave everyone a second chance. Just sayin.

    I'll do you one better, while I was listening to your video, I do have really agree that they could still have potential, and I don't think that he would have his memories wipe, because I do agree with the story that they could tell is him understanding and using the same quote from the end of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 being " So how was it? Being alive? " and him finding his own answer
    I can imagine the Mythra child running into Malos, not even being a villain but basically helping and knowing that the core crystal is his sister's. Even though outright wanting to Avoid about the past that they used to have, instead helping them understand the world better now that he's taken time with his new life that he was given. ( live among people like Jesus ) to reflect on that and help them see as well.
    And the biggest conclusion to his ark this time, is that at some point in the story he will sacrifice himself just like jesus, the Declaration to wash Away The Sins that they may have caused. And dying with a smile like he did back in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but he will rise again, because in some way or form that will be the strength to stop the world ending catastrophe in this game.

    Personally I'd find a plot wherein Malos as he was in XC2 would be interesting as a protagonist due to his incredibly nihilistic view of the world, it is shown that he isn't heartless and cares for others. It was shown that he deeply cared for the members of Torna especially Jin/Shin. so it's not as if he is some heartless monster, however he does take drastic measures to do what he views as his role, that being to end peoples suffering via complete extermination. seeing him bound back from this without completely repelling his views would be very interesting, however I pessimistically don't think such would happen, it would be neat though.

      Yeah it would definitely be interesting and personally I would prefer the story to be told with either a Malos that REMEMBERS his past or at least remembers it throughout the game and faces it and confronts it, I kind of hope it's not just a matter of "oh he reincarnated so it's no big deal anymore"
      Would be a great theme to explore imo

    Dirk is Mythra’s son, and the reincarnation of Malos.
    Firstly, remember right before Pneuma died, and she heard the voice of Malos ask her a question? I think that’s proof that Malos still lived somewhere inside Pneuma. Maybe when Pneuma reawakened with 2 bodies, one of them took the role of Logos. Mythra might’ve overwritten Malos’ personality, but maybe he was able to properly reawaken as her child.
    Secondly, remember how they said Dirk used sword-like talons instead of his own blade? I think that’s because he might’ve been the original owner of N’s sword. He must’ve earned the nickname “Black Blaze Dirk” somehow, and there’s only one blade I can think of that had black fire.
    Thirdly, remember when Malos was dying, him and Rex both said something along the lines of “If only we’d met sooner. Things could’ve been a lot different.” I think that is the real point of Dirk’s character. He’s fighting the darkness he inherited from Malos, but with the support and guidance of a loving family, he’ll grow up into a real baddass. Xenoblade 2 and 3 show what he’s like with nothing but negative influence, but maybe Xenoblade 4 will show what he’s capable of with something positive.

    I'm going to expand on the Bible verse by giving it the context of the verses around it:
    Proverbs 10:
    11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
    12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
    13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
    Tying it back to Logos of the Bible, Jesus.
    Christ has two returns, the one after his Crucifixion dying as a sacrifice but came back conquering death, but the second one is as the King and Judge of Heaven and Earth in Revelation.
    We could see the opposite with Malos, because he's was acting as judge of Alrest, granted a corrupt judge but still a judge, due to the actions of humanity and him being tainted by Amalthus.
    At first he brought a sword to judge the world, but now he's here to save.
    We could see Malos be more chill in Xenoblade 4, we could even see him raising Frank because of reasons. Could even be more of a peace keeper, maybe even being a healer/tank of the group (from a mouth covered in violence, to a "well of life" you might say).
    Even in Xenoblade 2, his Core wasn't shattered, it was cracked. It was in worse shape for the majority of the game. Not zero chance that it was on back up mode while in Ainosis, but got fully repaired interlinking with Pneuma and Ontos.
    TLDR: Malos' arc could be the inverse of what the Bible says of Jesus, going from a Judge to a Savior. Which may add more fuel to him being a Protag that might give his life to keep the Interlink between the two worlds going.
    Man, I love being a Christian and a Xenoblade fan, just seeing all the little nods and going Captain America with it.

    Whatever is next will have to do with that light falling from space, I think it will be a new story they said the Klaus saga is done. So this is a new world and we don't know the make up of the people. I'm not saying the characters couldn't reappear but I don't think it will be a continuation of the past three games as that chapter is done.

    Hey, I owe you an apology. Honestly, I've wanted to apologize since mere days after I left the server, but I was still going through a lot at the time and was working on that with my therapist, and not at all ready to draft an apology on my own without someone to help me sort my thoughts out. Then, a few months passed, and things finally started to settle into a new normal, and I just... kinda... moved on. I meant to go back, sort through what I remembered about what happened and draft a proper apology, but it had been so long that I didn't feel I could write a good enough one on my own, and to be quite honest... the memories had gotten too murky.
    All I really remember, at this point, is being at my wits end for days on end prior, I think seeing something either particularly distressing or particularly hopeful and wanting to share it and speak on it, and then, I think... getting into a heated argument with a mod over criticisms I disagreed with. If memory serves, I believe I felt irrationally compelled to defend against them for fear of my reputation, and then things spiraled from there? Regardless, what I do remember well is that I was not mentally okay at the time, and that I did not handle anything remotely acceptably.
    I want to give some context for where I was at. You see, my Gran had recently visited from New Zealand, and we had gone on vacation to Osoyoos - I had been quite looking forward to it, in fact. However, during the vacation, Gran was manipulative and abusive, forcing her will on everyone, manipulating the people around her with subtle jabs and guilt trips and overt shaming and periodic (and incompetent) love bombing on occasion to throw off the scent. She and my mother waxed nostalgic about eating disorders while I was being starved out - denied meals for the sake of convenience and then given insufficient portions when I did get to eat, yelled at for daring to ask for more or even to ask for a healthier, more filling alternative to the shitty donuts they offered to buy me (mostly because Gran wanted one and didn't want to be the only one eating one,) and treated like a literal slave, forced to do ridiculous degrees of unpaid labour while getting yelled at for not doing it well enough. Even my water was rationed, solely because Gran didn't want to be bothered to go out and buy water and they didn't listen to my concerns when we were out and about. And my mother enabled all of it, while my Dad regressed into the kind of person who would even actively contribute to it because his mother told him so, oftentimes clearly taking subtle cues from her to act on her behalf as enforcer so that she didn't need to get her hands dirty by being the one to yell at her adult granddaughter for daring to eat one pizza slice too many after being denied the right to buy her own food for the sake of autonomy over what she gets to eat. When fires in Osoyoos forced us to go home early due to an evacuation order, I was _relieved._
    During this whole experience, I was not given the right to speak up for myself, and when others spoke for me, if even _implying_ that I was sticking even a _toe_ out of line, all hell descended upon me in a situation where I was powerless to do anything about it. It wasn't as if I could afford a cab all the way back home, in a city at least three hours away, likely much more due to the fires. I don't even think any taxis would have been able or willing to do that, even if I could afford the fare. It gave me a LOT of sympathy for my Dad who grew up in that environment, and a lot of understanding of where his damage came from, but it also wrecked me mentally for a _while._ And there were *several* pre-existing and *severe* traumas from similar experiences throughout my childhood that were reopened by the ordeal, on top of that. All of this is to explain that, when I thought I was being defined more by what other people said about me than I was by anything I said or did, I panicked. I started freaking the fuck out, and it was all I could do to not externally show that I was having a breakdown. It was irrational, it was no one's fault but my own, but it was also sheer, unadulterated mental agony.
    I say this not to excuse my actions, but to explain that it was not who I normally am, I *promise.* I was at my worst in months if not years, fresh off some of the most terrifying assaults on my autonomy that I had experienced in _literally_ as long as I can properly remember. (A side effect of long-term chronic depression - ie, my childhood - is memory loss, and weakening of the ability to remember things in general, so my long-term memory consists more of hazy patches than anything clear or consistent - I often can't connect the dots between different childhood memories and large swathes of my life are murky blankness, so while I know I've been through a lot worse, I can't give a reasonable estimate of how long ago that worseness was, and may even be forgetting really bad mental health episodes entirely because they didn't disrupt the flow enough to clearly mark their location in the fog.) All of this is to say, the me you knew in livechat, sowing chaos but meaning well, that was the real me. Not the mental breakdown. I truly, deeply hope you'll believe me... but I'll understand if you don't.
    I don't know how this apology will be received, and I know it might not be received well - for example, I've certainly overshared about my trauma and damage, particularly around the time of the incident in your server, so it wouldn't surprise me if that were read as sympathy bait and lead to the discrediting of my apology, rather than adding context to my breakdown. And it would be an understandable interpretation, though I want to say, whether you believe more or not, that garnering sympathy is absolutely, unequivocally not my intention, and in fact sympathy is something I actively do not want whatsoever. This is partially why I put this off for so long, actually. Regardless, even if it doesn't change anything, I want it off my chest. I want to at least say I tried to make things right, even if I failed in the end.
    ...And I swear to god I did not mean for that to line up with the themes of your Malos theory - I apologized here solely because your videos have been popping up in my feed again, I've dearly missed them, and I finally caved at this one and decided to stop running from the past. I would have caved eventually regardless, I'm sure, but I caved on this one specifically because I love the Malos theories people have been having - oddly enough this is the first guilt/redemption arc theory I've seen now that I think about it; I'm surprised no one else I've talked to, myself included, considered that angle - and thus was hit with a huge pang of "This video could be something you're excited to watch instead of a reminder of your guilt - grow up!" when I saw it.

Would love to see you around again and I don't want you to think that I'm holding any kind of grudge, or anything because I'm simply not. Life is tough, often cruel and unkind in varying ways, I want this channel to ideally provide a bit of an escape from all of that while focusing in on my favorite medium, gaming, so just once again, absolutely no hard feelings on my end and I consider it all water under the proverbial bridge. Glad to hear you're doing better and hope you continue to feel better as well. Malos returns but he’ll be two guys lol we have Pyra and Mythra. Then we got A and Alpha (is he really gone?…). So is it too far fetched to say that we get Malos and perhaps another personification of Logos

      Technically mythra is because adam didnt fully awaken pneuma, then she was traumatized and created a second identity aka pyra. A and Alpha however is not 2 characters it is 1 character split in 2 A being alvis's more human side and alpha being nothing but the machine element of alvis. However if malos does return it would be as a guy

      @@RedTheWeeb this was more of a joke comment but this is the first time I hear that Addam couldn’t awaken Pneuma correctly, I thought it was that Addam couldn’t handle Mythra aka Pneuma’s full power hence why he couldn’t hold the green aegis blade. I was just teasing that since we kind of got two split versions of Pnuema and Ontos then perhaps Malos should also get the same “treatment” but yes I understand these “separations” occurred for vastly different circumstances. But hey I’m glad Malos has been given such importance now, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

      @@whis.sensei well considering the pneuma sword happened before pyra existed it shows that pneuma form would of existed regardless of if pyra did or not. It's interesting because in torna mythra's sword becomes pneuma's when she behaves similar to alpha aka more machine like albeit hers is a trauma response and alpha is in response to ouroboro power ripping him and A apart. Considering ouroboros power seemingly comes from or is buffed by trinity core members maybe that's why

    You can't *just* use the Christian analogy here. I mean, you can, but you'll get even better predictions if you through in the rest of the basis, which tends to be gnosticism and hermeticism and even alchemy. On one hand, learning about those things is a lot of work. On the other hand, for example, when you learn that "alchemy" is not the thing about turning literal lead into literal gold but derives from Plato's ideal society that is based on a pyramid of sorts: Philosopher Kings at the top (referred to as "gold"), bureaucrats/enforces in the middle (referred to as "silver") and at the bottom is all the laborers/farmers/merchants (referred to as "iron" or "bronze") and how you can turn a "iron" person into a "gold" person through "progress" you realize what they're literally talking about is the soul: then you have a new lens for analyzing Xeno works which they obviously reference for making the game. The Trinity Core being Ontos (being), Pneuma (Spirit / "the Holy Spirit" in Christianity, part of the Trinity) and Logos (meaning as derived from the Word [there's a reason for the capital] of God) is inspired by both Christianity and various genuine philosophical thought (as opposed to, say for the Xeno fans, gnosis, which is not genuine philosophical or religious thought and in general refers to "divine revalation" from the perspective of a cult).
    If you read up on each of these things and replayed each of the games you would come away shocked that the game you are so familiar with had so much more hidden in it.

      It's highly unlikely that Dirk is Mythra's son, as there's no sign of him having a core crystal of any kind or even signs of being a blade at all.
      My personal guess is that Mythra's child is a playable character in XC4, and and is a son named Milton (or Mikhail or Addam) as the other 2 wives of Rex already had daughters, so a son of Rex would be a nice contrast in the family, and Mythra naming her son after one of the people she basically grew up with to honor them would make perfect sense for her character as a way to represent her moving on from her desire to forget/escape her past and look forwards to the future unburdened by what happened, and Milton is my number 1 guess as his death hit her the hardest. Vandham could've been considered, but it's apparently the surname of Noah+Mio's descendants (likely because of Mio subconsciously choosing it due to some connection to her original self from the XC2 world), and Rex Jr wouldn't be as significant.
