    Watched this video like all of your videos. Like a kid sitting too close to the tv. So much excellent concept and application info in here. Thanks for pulling out all the stops and sharing the knowledge man. You've got me rushing around with my brain cup just trying to catch it all! 😋

    Another nice fly Gunnar. It keeps me entertained during the winter and the Covid lockdown. Keep the good stuff coming.

    Best profile I've seen on a fly. I noticed the body tubing did eat up hook gap space. Has anyone noticed any issues with hook-ups?
    If you're going to watch this to learn how to tie the fly, great! But, If you are also open to learning how to understand how tie flies to catch more fish, you can do that here as well! As usual, excellent video, Gunnar.

    Another terrific video! Amazing fly jerk and turn. Nice alternative to dubbing loops. Thanks again for explaining not just how to imitate a pattern, but your theories behind it all. That way we can free-form our flies, but with a kickstart on our experimentation.

    Nice ! Love the way it kicks sideways on the strip. I might have to tie a few of these.

    Such a beautiful beast of a fly. Thanks for sharing your updates on the Mega Jerk. I need to get some of those materials including the hooks and tie some up. That Gamechanger book is going to be my next book purchase.

    A great tying video to end a great day, caught my pb LMB on a homemade fly that was inspired by your articulated geezer. Keep up the quality vids Gunnar, this is the first channel I check for when I log on youtube.

    Going to tie one up in a walleye color pattern for this spring. Any experience in using sculpting flash fiber for heads? How does it compare to strung fuzz?

    Gunnar - amazing work per usual. Would you be able to give the size of the fastach clip you used for the mono rig? I will try and find a reference in Paul M's videos otherwise. Thank you and may God bless you and your family.

    Can you use lazer dub as a substitute for the head? I’m assuming that as long as the profile is there the action would perform somewhat the same.

    Why do they always turn to the same side though? This is the problem I run into with all jerk bait-type flies.

    • @Gunnar_Brammer
      @Gunnar_Brammer  2 года назад

      Most Jerk/Glide bait Lures that Walk the Dog rely on a rear-weighted balance point that the nose of the lure pivots around, allowing them to switch directions. A Jerk fly on the other hand will start to deflect due to imperfections in the head, material stacking, density, ect.....(which are always the same each strip, hence it starts to deflect to the same side each time) before the Rear Hook runs into the head jackknifing and pushing the fly into the profile show. If you were to make the fly Rigid, on a single piece of long wire, with a rear weighted balance point and a near frictionless head that was perfectly consistent....you could likely get a closer imitation to the Glide bait style lure design.

    Tie the fly, i dont need an encyclopedia description on every step and material. One hour...make a two part video. Tie with no explanation. Part 2...description.
