Next time you go woodcutting take some shears and harvest seeds before you cut down the trees then plant the seeds and 10-20 oaks in the plains near your house, you'll be glad you did.

Just like the navy building powers of the age of sail who planned ahead by planting entire forests of oak for the 21st century navy needs, with death penalty for harming or felling the trees prematurely without authorisation....😅
That was crazy! You lost so much stuff, and that is why I like watching someone else play a lot more than playing it myself. Still going strong, hope the new hammer will help ease the burden of getting stuff replaced. Thanks for sharing the fun, hope your Christmas was merry!

this is why i spent time on making a road network, get to the nearest road and you can run home full speed
Or just use a temporal gear ( correctly, I did it wrong ) to set a home spawn
But you were so chill! I was livid for you! 😮😢😂

8:54 - TBH. This is why I personally set the game to keep my inventory on death. The native respawn points are simply obnoxious, where I lose my stuff 80% of the time because i just dont get back fast enough
I get that. For me, this was entirely my own fault, shouldn't have died, shouldn't have failed to set a spawn. I earned this loss for sure.
I'm still catching up, but in case this hasn't been brought up, brown coal works just fine in a forge, since the forge can only get to 1100C anyway.

This must have been so frustrating to play, but admittedly it was really entertaining in a schadenfreude kind of way just seeing you dying repeatedly while being stuck in that godawful terrain.
Games aren't fun if everything goes perfect every single time!

Hoo boy, I remember back when The First Wendigo was just getting started, he had a raid that he basically survived by the skin of his teeth. Wendy was wounded and everything was on fire.
He rebuilt and *wasn't even slightly annoyed*
In this episode, we learn why the death screen includes a "Rage Quit" option.
That being said, the crafting systems are so fun in this game, it's not a complete loss.

Devs should make a mechanic that a living pine log section starts to produce resin if it gets damaged by an axe or knife and left alone or been in contact with a branchy leaves block that got harvested.
Getting caught back up, and feeling your pain. That was an awful turn of events. Makes for engaging viewing, but painful nonetheless.

I'm kind of watching this series piece meal. A few episodes here and there with sometimes a good chunk of time in between so my memory isn't great, but I swore you had used a temporal gear to set your house as your spawn. Why are you still spawning out in the boonies?
I didn't set it correctly, I used it to clear insanity accidentally

I thought to set spawn you right click the gear on the ground, and stabing yourself with the gear just restored a bunch of sanity? Did that get changed?
