Is really this run more more than 1m faster than the old and only TAS available? New strategies or glitches discovered? Nonethless, I'm impressed with the perfection you showed!

So the TAS is actually a lot faster but the thing is, this run was played on a PS2 which allows us to use the "fast disc speed" option, that causes every loading screen to be about 2sec faster, back when the TAS was made, that option was not available for emulators so that would cut *about* 2mins off the TAS and make it a high 1:11 (maybe even lower I don't fully remember the timing for the loading screens)
@@lflo2035 Oh yes, you're playing in a PS2. Faster loading times explained it them. I'd rewatched the TAS recently and thought that maybe it hasn't been optimized here and there or maybe slowed down for demonstration but it's not the case. Thank you for pointing me out!
@@orpheus2883 The TAS is missing a couple strats that were found afterwards but at most we're looking at 15 to 20 seconds of possible improvement so it's still a very solid TAS for the time and even to this day ^^ Np!
Hey, how does Quidditch abuse work and what exactly do you skip? My memories of this game are foggy so I don't remember the exact chronological order of events UPD Also it's kinda hilarious to end the game with hourglasses not even half full.
So the way quidditch abuse works is that when you go into the quidditch league from the main menu and beat the matches without saving, the game thinks you're actually completing a quidditch match from the story, we play until the ravenclaw match because that's when you go to diagon alley in the story and we skip Dungeons, avifors and the troll chase sloth brain and 4 eyes are also skipped but we have to comeback to do them later because it's what unlocks the upper castle and we need to go to the upper castle to beat the game
How does the jumping into a tree thing work? And how much of the game did you miss our by doing that? My goodness, watching this brought back some memories - a very dodgy game! Annoying slippery floors, an invisibility clock that needs activation, and Quidditch not making sense! Plus only Harry collecting points for Gryffindor...
There's a lot of invisible ledges that you can grab but essentially we get pushed out of bounds in order to trigger a jump that lets us grab a bunch of invisible ledges. Doing that completely skips the fireseeds section ^^ This game is definitely a bit rough around the edges but it's still amazing :D
Man I never realized how bad this game was made. I do not mean the graphics or anything like that, it is just that it makes no freaking sense 😂😂 Harry jumping over bookshelves and fighting against Draco throwing stuff.😂😂 We need a remake of this but a proper one. I keep this game as a childhood memory but maaaan it is horrible.😂

I watched your speedrun and damn this game is not logical… you can easily miss half the game's plot just by jumping onto a tree.... ☠️
