Yeah we're not entirely sure what causes that but since that skip is US version only which almost every skip on that version got patched, we assume it was likely a debug command that was forgotten since every other version that trick was patched ^^

It's basically a crash handler. Whenever the game cannot handle what is going on, the level skip is there as a failsafe to prevent the game from crashing and to allow the player to continue. TT originally added it while developing Mickey Mania as a way to speed up getting the game published, since the level skip was a fun yet cheeky way to prevent crashes and to get past SEGA/Nintendo's licensing tests. It was very much a development feature but it did make its way into the SNES versions of Mickey Mania and Toy Story. The claw skip in this game follows this same principal. There's too much stuff on the screen so the game skips the level.

@@WostecGamesDie we dont use french for any of the games, HP1 is faster in norweian, HP2 in swedish, HP5 in finnish and HP6 in spanish, and yeah all those games are faster in these languages because faster dialogues

Heyy :D The you need 500 beans to open the door that you see at 1:53:41 but you never lose the beans and after that you don't ever need the beans other than buying cards no ^^

@@benzenatizineeddine7816 that is correct and its used in my any% WR but in 100% because the game tracks the loading zones for the ingame counter, skipping the slide, the car and willow doesn't let you get 100%

you don't have to defeat him in any category, it's about 5 seconds faster to beat him over losing and I hadn't practiced that strat enough when I did this run but in 100% I got better at it so I went for it, the most recent any% WR does have the strat though ruclips.net/video/3Nn6RDu-Io4/видео.html

@@lflo2035 Ah, yes, I understand now why you defeated him in both Any% and 100% WR but not in this run. I thought that letting him win maybe had any advantage that I haven't get because it's a strat other runners go for. Thank you for explaining it!
