Mines just arrived in the mail today! Loved the comparison review as always😍😍! I wasn’t a super fan of the original which was heartbreaking because I LOVE matte foundations! I’m hoping this becomes a holy grail!! 😊
The matte is my holy grail! Was interested in the glow version and great tip on the shade differences btw the two & fewer shades on the new one.
Lancôme was my og makeup brand I’ll never forget going to dillards with my mom when I was 14 and she had their makeup artist do a whole face on me and teach me how to use everything :) been looking for a good new dewy foundation so I’m def gonna have to give this one a try!
I have been using the original for many years. I like the coverage. Never minded that it was matte, because it isn’t overly so. I can’t wait to try the new one, but I have a full bottle of the original, plus a Pat McGrath to use up first. FYI My skin is normal.
The Care & Glow side looks amazing on your skin! Something that as a half Indigenous American person who has freckles themselves *and* large pores and breakouts, I certainly appreciate the higher coverage for myself. Sometimes I like my freckles, other times not so much.
Hi, Chelsea. Great review as always. When you picked your color, did you swatch 420W? The Teint Idole shade finder indicates I am 435W in the Teint Idole Ultra Wear, which you note you are. When I first took a look at the Ultrawear Care & Glow I was thinking 405W may be a little light for me and thought 420W might be better. They have a chart on the website that indicates 435W translates to 420W in the care & glow. Thx.

I will be grabbing this foundation soon!! I would be getting it this weekend however, I bought the new Pat McGrath pallette and scored 10% off. The make up budget is maxed out until September and that's only because it's my birthday. I have this foundation, two Pat Mcgrayh blushes and a skin care tool or two on the list!!

Thank you for this comparison! I also find the matte version can look a bit flat/too matte on me, but blending it with a damp sponge solves that. It helps the product melt into my skin & look more natural. Maybe give this a try to see if it works for you, too.
Regarding the glowy foundation, the finish is beautiful, but I agree that it looks a hair dark on you. Do you think it's the actual shade or the golden undertone that makes it darker? Would you mind doing side-by-side swatches of the two foundations? They look vastly different in the bottle, but I know the original one darkens as it dries.
Update: I received a sample of the new foundation & I did my own side-by-side comparison. I only set my concealer with powder & and I left my nose bare to really confirm the shades are correct. I blended both with a damp sponge & I love the feel & finish of the Care & Glow side. It's a winner for sure!

Is that the Danessa Myricks pallette on your eyes. Can you compare the ABH and Pat Mcgrath pallette. Curious. They both have a pretty lilac color. In hindsight they seem like similar color stories🤔 I hope not
The original foundation I’d fragrance free, and that’s what is more important for me
