YES! I keep waiting for this too. How hard can this be!?! The whole point of sonos is wireless - I don't want to have someone come wire my entire yard just to connect to the speakers I have wirelessly placed all over my house!
Why neee an amp for the outdoor speaker? Build one that only needs power an can be outside 356 days a year!

I'd strongly advise against buying Sonos. Connectivity issues are rife. I own 4 speakers and I will be selling them and will never buy Sonos again.
Don’t buy their trash! You’ll regret it. Lousy products and service.
