- This song is originally from the TV series "American Dreams", but out of context, it really encompasses a lot of what I'm feeling about the world, and being a 20-something. Particularly with the Canadian election drawing so close, it seems to me that the youth of the nation and the world need to start finding their power. And oh, what a power it is.

I was fortunate enough to be an 80's kid, so I watched the Wonder Years with my mom. Thankfully we also watched American Dreams together before I lost her. Listening to this song reminds me of her. Miss you mom, r.i.p.
I know how you feel this is me and my mother's favorite show when it was on she passed away in 2018 from cervical cancer All My Love for 1950 and 1960s music she raised me on❤️

I used to show this series to my 8th graders. I loved hearing the entire class sing this song when the show started.

I loved American Dreams one of fav shows && i think this is a song that every young generation can relate to. Each one has been faced with its own issues and changes that set them apart but also bring them together

GREAT, GREAT song. THIS IS SOME REAL MUSIC HERE and a great tribute to America's legacy. Our country's had and has it's problems as show in American Dreams but we always had good people getting together and great music as long as we've been around. HERE'S TO MANY MORE AMERICA.
They should run this show again on TV, NOW! So appropriate for the changes taking place in our country these days...

Why does this song fit into what’s happening in today’s world??
Because the lder generation picked an idiot, and we are trying to change it.
It fits into every generation's view of the world when they're young, when everything seems possible, and especially when they see the mistakes that the last generation made, thinking that you will do better. Then you screw up, and elect a moron for president. Happens every so often, but now we've had three dullards in a row. Harding, Hoover, Nixon, Carter, Bush 2, Obama & Trump. The next one will have his/her work cut out for them, because it's becoming a real mess, as congress sucks too so there's no safety check valve. National debt interest getting too close to the GNP.

I loved American Dreams! The part when it shows how the whole country came to a standstill when Kennedy was assassinated was well done.
When Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moons surface it was a proud moment at the time
Yeah that was an extremely proud moment for us at the time. We left a plaque on the moon that reads we the people of Earth set foot on the moon 1969 AD We come in peace for all mankind something like that i might have worded it wrong

I always enjoy American Dreams, and I will not forgive NBC, for getting rid of American Dreams. Watched that show on Sunday and Wednesday Nights. It seems like the times were living in now, it reminds us all of the television show. It was divided in the 1960's, and now the division is worse since the 1960's.
