Hi, while watching your videos it is apparent that you are a skilled heli pilot and have a great knowledge of heli setup etc. I am just getting started on my own adventure at age 66, I have no problem with the techinical side of things as l have built, setup and repaired many helis for my son who was sponsored and competed 10 plus years ago. My question to you is what are you using the Spirit geolink for and have you found it to be reliable. When l go on the spirit forum and a few others, it seems that the geolink can be troublesome. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated and valued with regards to your experience with the geolink. Kind regards Brett

Thanks for the comment mate, I honestly only have one reason myself and that's for the GPS speed tracking which I refer to in the data logs. It's also a nice luxury to have if you have something in your eye or need a second too compose. I personally have found it reliable I think the issue is many don't set them up correctly or skip some steps when doing so.

Thank you for taking the time to do this video, you’ve just gained my subscription. I always assumed that you had to take that small pa k out and charge it every couple of weeks but that’s great that it charges and balances itself, great technology. Do you know of the scorpion backup does the same?
I’m going to have to outfit them on all my 700s. I’ll feel like I just purchased an insurance plan at GEICO on my helis! Lol

A good useful video DJ - thank you. The 130a ESC will handle up to 200a on burst and the 200a ESC will handle right up to 300a on burst so, unless you really stick banging, you should be ok. But Opti guard does give you that sense of assurance anyway.

Definitely late every little helps don't it. I used to be holding 11° positive / 1950 rpm for a good few seconds 😅 to get some speed, these backups stop me worrying now

Nice device, but it can be replaced with a second BEC (with dedicated battery if - up ot you) and two Schottky diodes on both BEC red wires.
