I just love how much comedy goes into the woodworking vids but the alcohol ones are serious AF! 😂 keep making the great content, great job!! 👍
lol no lie! He's as serious as ever in the drink videos... lol
Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
Is this a new series because I’m more than ready for this
Build a barrel to age the whiskey...
Classic margarita recipe! Tip on salting the rim: hold the glass upside when you rub the lime so the juice doesn’t run down the side. Makes for an even salt rim all the way around the glass. Even more true if you are sugaring the rim. Perfect every time.
Nice. I'll be using this.
Jason, you’ve gotta shake those margaritas in a shaker with some ice and then strain into a cup of fresh ice. Also, give this margarita recipe a try:
2 ounces lime juice
2 ounces tequila
1 ounce Cointreau
1 ounce simple syrup.
Shake, pour over ice in a salted glass. Enjoy.
Love your channel by the way.
If you are taking requests I would enjoy your take on a Mojito. Nice summertime cocktail.
uhh. rum. mint. sugar. lime. soda.
what’s he gonna tell you - how many long islands he had before he only had the rum left over?
@@drukilkelly8599 Hate Much?? Watch the videos he puts unique spins on each drink.
@@larryroberts1635 not a hater - but i didn’t work at Death & Company to not try to steer ALL people away from mediocrity. take your pleasure seriously.
Salted Rim was my high school nickname.
Awesome tips, I'm excited to try these. My dad was a rhubarb fan from way back and I haven't tasted it since. I will now.
You are leaving a lot of flavor on the cutting board with the limes. Lightly grate them over the top of the drink or into the salt to kick the lime notes up even higher.
I was making a delicious old fashion last week utilizing your recipe and my wife asked me if you did a video on margaritas.... welp dreams do come true!!!! Thanks!
this guy is an awesome wood worker with real dry humor... now he's sharing drink recipes.... enjoy
I was born ready for this series.
I just made the basic margarita following this recipe and man is it good. This changed my mind about what a margarita can be. Thanks!
These are AWESOME tips! I now have my mission for the weekend.
This needs to become a regular channel series! Well done just followed this to the letter and it was just amazing!
Love it!
I’ll have to try this. The old fashion I made was the best I had ever had!
These are great. Thanks for sharing. Made them today for vacation.
Brilliant! Sounds absolutely great!!!
Love your channel dude, you are killing it and these drink videos are a great addition!
I really hope you batch recorded this series. By the last month you’ll be in a flipping great mode.
I just made a batch of the Rhubarb Margaritas, they are amazing! Thanks
Great twist on your normal woodworking videos I watch from over here in Thailand. Truly appreciate the efforts and content you've been producing over the years.
I will definietly be trying this Rhubarb concept and you now have me thinking on another version using Passion Fruit I have on trees in yard as has that sour / sweet mix as well.
I made this classic Margarita last night and it was really good. Much better than using the mixer. I'll have to try rhubarb margarita next.
Rhubarb!!! I am so getting this and making that drink! Looks super yum!
LOve it especially on a Friday afternoon.
Excellent...love your drink series...keep them coming
Love all your tips
this is sooo much better than the crappy "out of the bottle" margs! Thanks man!
Love the drink videos, been making your old fashioneds ever since.
Rhubarb anything is awesome 👌
I second that.
I love Grand Mariner. I’ve been adding this to my Margaritas for years. It’s a great little addition to a lot of traditional cocktails.
The rhubarb syrup is amazing. We had rhubarb margaritas Saturday and they're good. Just made an old fashioned with rhubarb syrup and it's flipping amazing.
I approve of this recipe!! I make margaritas all the time!! Couple tips.. make agave simple syrup by mixing 5:1 water with thick agave syrup. For the juiciest limes look for smooth skin.. rough skin no bueno.. if no GM a little OJ is a good sub. Last one, personally I like my Rita's shaken, it tends to mix all the flavors better. Love the channel!! 👍🍻
Pour 1 part Don Julio Blanco, 3/4 part Cointreau, 1/2 part fresh lime juice over ice in drink shaker. Shake well. Pour over ice in glass. Classic Margarita. I have been mixing them this way for many, many years here in Mexico where I also have operated a custom woodworking shop for 37 years.
I am loving the drink series
This is great news! I like the drink videos as much as the woodworking!
As a former Bartender for 10 years turned Woodworker, i appreciate the content and the skills brother! Never tried Rhubarb margarita but it sounds amazing to be honest!
Love it! Solid content! I LOVE a good cocktail!
Great stuff! I like to use hot water when adding water to the pot. It will help initially dissolve the sugar faster while the pot heats up to boil so it's less likely for sugar to stick and burn on the bottom.
My husband watches you all the time and introduced me to your videos. (woodworking as well as mixing drinks) Love ya! I especially loved the margarita video! I've never tasted rhubarb so this would be an adventure.
May I share MY favorite margarita recipe with you that's ALMOST like the first one you shared.
Grand-ma in a Wheelchair
2 parts Grand Mariner
1 part Tequila
1 part 7-up
splash of Roses sweetened lime juice.
Now, I do NOT like sweet in my margaritas so I use Lime Vitality oil that is made by Young Living.
This is very concentrated and yummy! You made my day when you said salt on the rim. I totally agree.
A perfect Summertime Margarita!
Warning: It's sneaky! You may NEED a wheelchair if you have too many!
Looks great! Definitely going to try the rhubarb margarita.
Get that pinky up! Great vid Jason. Top job dude
Thanks for the recipes
We had some rhubarb from the farmers market in the fridge and couldn't figure out what to do with it. Made some syrup and a round of margaritas and they are amazing. Just when I thought this channel couldn't get better.
Thoes look AMAZING!! I woll definitely try them
i never thought about a rhubarb margarita ..but it looks delicious
The Fiancé and myself watched this in bed this morning and then felt compelled to run out for the needed supplies for the rhubarb one. Thanks!
I just made the rhubarb one, and it’s seriously the best margarita I think I’ve ever had!
My sentiments exactly. I never liked margaritas either until I made one with actual lime juice instead of mix and good tequila. So good! The key thing is using good tequila. I also like to grate in a little lime zest for added flavor.
The drink tasted great. Had alot of fun with it this weekend.
Love it! Keep up the good work buddy!
Man thanks for keeping things in perspective!!
Respect to you my Friend. I really enjoyed watching a little insight of your background story. Humble & Hard working with hint of awesome Skills & a touch of Hilarious Funny/CRAZY Humour with a Beautiful Family. Cheers Cuz from New Zealand. ✌🏾🔔🤙🏾🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for this recipe - made these today over in Bend - nice treat on hot day. I think the best addition besides rhubarb was the citric acid to the sugar rim. 👍🏻
Cook it in the oven 300 F for 1 hour no water and no stirring takes a little longer . Thanks much love all your videos
Neat woodworking video. I like how you operate.
I’m going to make both styles of margaritas tomorrow. Because they do look amazing!
Just got round to trying this at the weekend, our anniversary meal was cancelled because of covid so we made a bit of effort at home. Absolutely fantastic, like nothing I've ever had before! For anyone in the UK wanting to try it, tesco has Groovy Food's Agave syrup.
You rock Jason! I know probably people have asked you this but what is your all-time favorite mixed drink? Keep on doing what you’re doing because you got the right recipe.
Rhubarb margarita - NW Best ever. Thank you. Excellent!
Just made some rhubarb margaritas, quite delicious, thanks much for the vid
This is awesome!!!
Just made the classic! Damn good! Thanks
Excellent, keep them coming
At my folks restaurant the classic Margarita you made was called the Cadillac Margarita. Fantastic Margarita. Four more cups of rhubarb, one more cup of sugar, some corn starch and vanilla and you would have rhubarb pie filling to go with the Margarita. What a wonderful desert that would make. Thank you for the fantastic drink recipes. Next let's make a great Long Island Ice Tea or a Mint Julep.
My 3 favorite things: Woodworking, bourbon, and cocktails. Now its all in 1 channel!
My husband watched this video when it came out, we FINALLY found some rhubarb tonight. This is absolutely my most favorite margarita now. He’s now required to make several jars to freeze so we can enjoy it all seasons 😂
When u said you were making 2 types of margaritas and 1 wasn’t a Cadillac, you almost lost me… then I saw the Grand Marnier, and you totally redeemed yourself!! Great recipe!
I absolutely love margaritas! Never thought about rhubarb in a margarita though. Ive always been terrible at making margaritas, maybe now is my time!
I'm trying that very soon! 😎🍸
Love the idea ! 👍🏻🤠👍🏻
Made the rhubarb margarita exactly per the recipe. Finally, a use for the obscene amount of rhubarb produced in my backyard. The margarita is perfectly balanced - hovering between sweet and sour. Thanks! Now, if you can produce a drinks recipe that uses up all the leftover zucchini in the Fall, I would be doubly impressed.
What a refreshing change of pace
Love these videos!
Just made the classic this weekend, first time making margaritas of any kind. Got rave reviews from the guests and me.
Oh, this is gonna be good. Never been a fan of rhubarb, but rhubarb simple syrup is definitely on the "must try" list.
I just made the first recipe, and hands down the best margs ever.
Great video!
I love the drink series
On my way over... I want one.
Very tasty! I'm looking forward to trying the citric acid and sugar rim with a fresh strawberry margarita!
Bro!! Loving the Rhubarb in a margarita idea!! We share the same love language!! Growing up in Michigan we always had fresh rhubarb in the backyard! We would just eat it straight from the stalk dunked in granulated sugar! Best snack ever as a kid! Love this!! 🙌🙌👏👏
Made the Rhubarb Margaritas tonight. Outstanding. (Found the citric acid in the canning supplies at Target.)
Wow and a man after my own heart with the sour patch kid reference!! I need one of these, Stat!!
I can’t wait to try the rhubarb margarita. My favorite margarita is a jalapeño margarita. I make a very similar base margarita as yours and cut one very thin slice of jalapeño and dice it up very fine then shake everything in a drink shaker.
Jason, I'm sure your Margaritas are good and I'll definitely be trying the rhubarb version. A frozen Margarita is by far my favorite. I live 5 miles from Progreso, Mexico so I always get a excellent Margarita.
We tried the Rhubarb Margarita today an I have one word.....Amazing👌👌👌👌👌
Love it!
Awesome stuff! When we stir we call it 'give it a little muddle'
You got me hooked!
Gotta try that rhubarb one. Your whiskey sour with egg white is still my go to recipe
You had me at rhubarb! Well, actually you had me at fresh margarita, but I was totally in when you said rhubarb! So amazing - I could nearly smell it when you chopped it up, so good! I miss having it growing in my backyard, hopefully again someday. Can't wait to try this.
1) Love the adult beverage videos. Particularly love your take on the margarita. You should try it with Midori.
2) That is the cleanest, neatest kitchen EVER! Does it always look like that?
3) I’m getting a small glimpse of your patio cover. Looks like it may be some kind of unique pergola or lattice work. Would like for you to talk about if it’s as unique as I think it is.
This is sooooooo cool. Love these episodes drinking is good boy but drinking with you is even better
Hahahaha... "Rhubarb is my love language." Great line.
Love it! 👍
Rhubarb is the best! I have only ever eaten it raw, as my grandparents did--strip the strings from it and eat it like celery--dipped in sugar. Perfect!
As for tequila, just tonic and lime for me.
Amazing video as usual! I didn't even make it halfway through before I had to go make a margarita.
Codigo Tequila is a company owned partially by George Strait. Good stuff. Legend has it that the margarita was invented in the Balinese Ballroom in Galveston, Tx for a singer named Peggy Lee (Peggy being short for Margaret). Such a good singer. Try some Triple Sec in your classic margarita for a good change.
I like the drink videos, I actually made the last drinks. And they were awesome
Thanks for making this cocktail thing a once a month (the old fashioned video made me invest in a $80 bottle of Laphroaig!) Thanks for the Rhubarb syrup tip - we are cooking rhubarb every weekend this time of year...
So I tried the first margarita, they didn't have rhubarb at the store, and that is a damn fine way to make this drink, Im not a margarita fan, but this changes the game a little bit. Thanks!
