I'm Diana, a Bachelor of Science student, majoring in Physics, studying in The University of Sydney.

hello there.. I just got the offer for ppc.. can i ask this?
1. the monthly pocket money.. is it sufficient?
2. is it hard to learn there? is the communication barrier with the professor there big?
3. do you get nice treatment as a muslim there?
4. how do i prepare myself?
5. do degree of science (math) also in sydney?
Hi!!! Congrats on the offer!!
1. In Sydney, the only thing that's most expensive is the house rental and transportation. If you manage to get a house near uni so you don't have to take public transport, then that's good. For groceries, your pocket money sure is enough. For other uni, the monthly pocket is enough too and you can still save some. Some students work part-time/casually to earn extra money for vacation etc.
2. At first, it's a little bit difficult to get their accent, but not all lecturers have thick accents. I struggled at first too but slowly, you'll improve.
3. Sydney has lots of immigrants, and everyone is treated fairly. I'll just pray anywhere I'm comfortable and they won't disturb you. There was one time when my friends and I are praying and a car parked nearby. His music was loud but when he saw us praying, he immediately turned off the music.
4. You'll have mentoring sessions with your mentor who is a lecturer in matric (they used to be ppc scholars) so you can ask them how to prepare before flying.
5. For the time being, MoE only send Biology and Physics students to USyd, Biology and Chemistry students to UNSW (both uni are in Sydney).

Hi can you please share your pathway? Like did you take sci stream in spm? And what abt people who didnt take sci stream but want to major in physics?
I took sci stream during SPM, and during matric I took physical science stream (computer science instead of biology). I’m not sure how to major in physics if you didn’t take sci stream but I think it’s possible here in USyd because you can take fundamental classes. But again, I’m not really sure especially in Malaysia. Usually you need to take physics subject during SPM to major in physics.

We applied through education agent that MoE hired. We just fill in the forms so I'm not very sure how the agent applied it for us.

2. How did you find halal food there?

1. MoE booked the ticket from KL to Sydney.
2. Sydney is a multicultural city. There are many immigrants here, so there are abundant halal restaurants and asian shops. For frozen food, there are a few brand that have halal certificate but no halal logo on its packaging. You just need to look for their website to see their halal certificate. So far, it's not that difficult to find halal food here😽

Hi, wanna ask, are you an alumni for Labuan Matriculation College? If so, how many students does MoE took each year from LMC?
Yepp. Well, it depends on the subjects in demand, the candidates etc. Ada tahun LMC paling ramai, ada tahun kolej lain lagi ramai.

What I did was I looked at what topics have the highest weightage marks and focused more on that topics. Doing past year papers helped, too!! Most importantly, surround yourself with people that take their education seriously. Insya Allah you'll be influenced by the good vibes and focus on your study.
P/s: I highly recommend checking out @fayefilm RUclips channel. I watched it since SPM and it helped a lot 😼😼

Of course adaa😆😆 You can go to "middle east" suburb like 'Lakemba'. But of course, buying hijab from Malaysia is still SO MUCH cheaper & higher in quality 😬😬 borong la banyak2 sebelum fly😌😌 beli online pun boleh jaa
