If someone needs a break, they need to say: I’m getting too upset and this conversation is not going to be productive. Let me go cool off, and I’ll come back to you and we can come to a resolution in x amount of time.
That way the person gets their break & the person who wants it resolved has a timeline on when you both will work it out! 💕

Exactly!! Be yourself, carry yourself with confidence, stay sweet and kind (especially to that kid), and let them have whatever weird opinions about you they're gonna have, that's their problem honestly. If anything I love you Emily, and you're probably older than me, but you can be my daughter!!!!! 💕💕
I love how Miles talked about loss and how he embraced being silly and himself, because I’ve dealt with a lot of loss and I feel also like “f*ck it, I’m gonna be me”. It’s worked for me, I end up getting along with people and making them laugh, it’s like how every comedian has some messed up things going on personally, and yet they do their best to bring levity, because it’s what we all want.
I also found that insanely relatable and definitely explains a little bit why I relate to miles’ humor so much because not only is it my sense of humor but it’s the humor I crave from others in my life, for the exact reason he is so silly, loss.
The face Miles made when Will “confidently” asked someone out cracked me up. I can’t wait for more episodes.

This is everything I dreamed it would be and more. Truly comedic superiority here.
For the Emily, with the in law situation, I just wanted to say that it took ten years to really get in with my in laws. 5 years dating, 5 years married. His parents were divorced and his mom and sisters formed this tight group with my hubs, and it was hard to get into. They were all nice to me, but also, just made plans without including me etc.
It wasn’t until my husband had a seizure out of the blue. It was when I didn’t let him die and took care of him through the around 3 years of epilepsy adventures that followed, that I was proven worthy.
The advice from the guys is great. Show interest in them, ask them questions about themselves, and pay attention. But, also remember to be yourself. If their son loves you, they will hopefully love you too.

55:51 I’ve thought of this before. I think of it like my fish tank. To my fish- I am god; I can feed them and clean their tank. I can help their lives or make them worse. There’s a lot I can do for them. But some things are out of my control. If a meteor crashes into my house, that’s not on me. I guess that makes god not omnipotent; just at a higher level than us.

I also lost my brother Dyl when he was 17. It really changes your life, but the space where empathy can be found for all human beings was forged there. Because everyone experiences pain but we can also lift one another up. ❤️ Thank you for being so sincere and candid.

As someone from outside of the US, it is super weird how the presence of a foreskin is a topic of conversation for Americans. Not criticising Will in any way, it's just a cultural difference that is so weird!
