This is the best interview with Rachel Bloom I've seen. Congratulations to the hosts who strike such a great balance of interacting and injecting their personalities without making it too much about themselves.
It is 2020, the world is going shit - and I'm just here listening to this beautiful, amazing hour of discussion. I loved it so much, Rachel is my hero and hats off to you guys, for creating such an awesome environment for this conversation! :)
Stop being dramatic. There is a more infectious version of the flu than normal and people are being the same stupid morons they are every year. Its just life. People who lived through actually shit like Blitz and Holocaust survivors are laughing at you.
The "laziness is a form of fear" thing hits sooo hard for me, I freak myself out so much in advance that I never get to try and see how good I could be, it sucks but it's also awesome to see that someone as incredible ar Rachel went through this too
Jewish people are some of the most represented in American show business - disproportionate to the population of Jews in America. Why are these girls so surprised that they featured a Jewish woman in a show?
Thanks for this, you girls! It's sunday afternoon...I live in Brazil and this just made me so inspired. I love when the interviewers are really interested in the conversation. Rachel is amazing and the girls (Jessie Katz and Darah Golub) killed it!
I just discovered Crazy X last week on quarantine. Fell in love immediately! Told my bff ( since 1960) they're all just a bunch of musical theatre nerds! I wrote a musical for my drama class in 1968. I said to my friend doesn't it sound like stuff I'd write? She agreed and now she's binging it! And, I'm 90% sure I have BPD ( diagnosed Bi-polar) I so appreciate being able to relate and laugh. I went to my Dr (PCP) who, used to be afraid to be in the same room). He said, "it was a pleasure to see you today) I credit you guys, because I have no discernable identity (just what I secretly steel from others). Thanks for allowing me to not to feel I'm a freak unto myself! Love you
As I watch this interview in June 2020, when it's over, it gains so much meaning. The interview per se is super interesting, Jessie Katz and Darah Golub guide perfectly Rachel Bloom in a profound and inspiring conversation that everybody should watch. @racheldoesstuff I love you so much, you don't know how much this show has meant to me in this period and how much it has inspired and keeps inspiring me every day. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart, even if I know you'll never read this (but it's cathartic so I'll just keep writing heheh). You are such a nice an inspiring woman with such an uplifting story. I wish I could meet you one day an have a conversation just like this one, it would be a dream
Ahh Rachel mentioned my cover! She is simply the best. If anyone wants to hear it, this is my cover of 'Getting Bi': ruclips.net/video/XxmPiEvwTxg/видео.html
I only recently discovered CEG (it's June 2020 as I write this). In the interview, they touch on how the show was a Trojan Horse, due to the title and the opening rom-com trope that later evolves into an exploration of mental health, independence and happiness. Interesting concept that may have bit them in the ass, as the main reason I didn't explore the show sooner was because of the title. It was a turn off for me. It wasn't until I somehow caught the buzz about the women who created the show that I decided to give it a try, and I was immediately entranced by it. I wonder if others feeling the same was why the show was never a ratings hit despite the great reviews and awards.
Same. Somebody recommended it a few months ago, but it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I decided to give it a shot as I trust that person's tastes...and I'm so glad I did. Also, here in Italy the show didn't really become famous at all (even if it's on netflix), don't really know why, so there's also that. Now I recommend it to literally everyone everywhere, and always start by saying "don't stop at the title, you're not gonna regret it" hahah
Her talking about Carol Burnett has me fangirling so bad . Wait I’d Fangirling two words ? Fan girling ... well girling is not a word so I guess it’s a free for all ..
Stork Patrol !!! If anyone is trying to remember pre-youtube comedy, people posted video files that you had to download, and then there were sites like Funny or Die and Newgrounds where you could post stuff, and then it was like ...just put it on RUclips.
It’s a really funny concept. It’s basically two teams of comedians that compete. You win by having the loudest laughs and getting audiences to think you’re funny.
You can be very, very heterosexual as a male and still love The Great American Songbook and Hollywood musicals from childhood, Rachel. Just sayin', stop pigeonholing weird people like me :-).
I think you've answered your own sort of question there. If you're watching any show that's not meant to be surface-level as background noise, you're not going to "get it".
You are a bit dim aren't you? Try putting on actual music if you want background noise. It's called a SHOW because you need to use your eyes to enjoy it.
Honestly could listen to her talk for hours.
Getting Bi and I'm The Villain In My Own Story are definitely my two favourites.
what a great interview...felt like it was really comfortable getting to know her. I'm totally fangirling out. Rachel Bloom is my new hero.
This is the best interview with Rachel Bloom I've seen. Congratulations to the hosts who strike such a great balance of interacting and injecting their personalities without making it too much about themselves.
i love the way rachel talks about the topic of crazy women and where it comes from and what it means without actually shaming anyone
10 minutes of live classes: uUUuuugGGhhhHHH
1 hour of Rachel Bloom talking: YESS, that's how u enojy quarantine!!
Sameeee!
I absolutely love her! She makes me feel like I'm not alone and she is such a great role model :)
Rachel Bloom is so my spirit animal. WEST COVINUTS!

How much brilliant is this woman
This woman is simply an icon for Generation Y. SO inspiring!
The only bad thing about this interview is it’s too short. Loved every minute! I love Rachel Bloom
Crazy Ex Girlfriend is soooooooo very good!
Amazing conversation. Amazing women. Love you humans 💜💜👍👍
Jewish people are some of the most represented in American show business - disproportionate to the population of Jews in America. Why are these girls so surprised that they featured a Jewish woman in a show?
I discovered Rachel Bloom many years after her show, this woman is so interesting and adorable ! I could listen to her hours a day ! love you Rachel
OMG. I love when someone reference early lonely island. Love Rachel.
Thanks for this, you girls! It's sunday afternoon...I live in Brazil and this just made me so inspired. I love when the interviewers are really interested in the conversation. Rachel is amazing and the girls (Jessie Katz and Darah Golub) killed it!
Such an awesome, insightful interview, you guys rock.
As a borderline I will think about 44:42 for months Ugh my heart dropped
Oh God I noticed that as well. I think she might have just raised her hand though, or at least passed off the missed high-five as that
This is a great, sort of candid, interview with Rachel. Love it!
Thank you for the interview!

Agree, I avoided it because of the Netflix thumbnail and the title, it sounded so derogatory and basic to me!
omg i lost it at comedy sports.. i was on an lunch time improv show in high school aaaand i'm kind of jelly that they had a vars and jv team..
Rachel Bloom is so smart and so talented, she gives me confidence as a woman and a jew and an artist and I just love her.
Mess now I want to see the original pilot 🌚
My favorites are after everything I have done for you Paula's and Rebecca's(newest episode) and sexy getting ready song
Her talking about Carol Burnett has me fangirling so bad . Wait I’d Fangirling two words ? Fan girling ... well girling is not a word so I guess it’s a free for all ..
Wah! Rachel also uses f.lux! I know it's this really small thing, but just, ahhhhhh! I have something in common with her!
Really exciting Story ....... WOW THIS AMAZING, that's I only can said ^^
I'm calling it: Rachel Bloom is a dorky, musical Hufflepuff girl.
Nah she is so Slytherin.
Definitely a Hufflepuff!
She admits in CEG that she is a Griffondor
I want to see more of them so bad. Some streaming service must be open to greenlighting more projects
are Rachel and Adam (Ruins Everything) friends? What a magical thought, I love them both
That moment when she mentions the f.lux app and you get an f.lux notification saying you are waking up in 5 hours
Stork Patrol !!!

Can someone please further explain comedy sports?
It’s a really funny concept. It’s basically two teams of comedians that compete. You win by having the loudest laughs and getting audiences to think you’re funny.
My mother in law from nj would be amazing as a Jersey Zelda
47:58
Here's the cover RB was talking about ruclips.net/video/XxmPiEvwTxg/видео.html

Agreed. The prophet Neil Patrick Harris said it's not just for gays anymore, after all.
Jews sure do talk about being jewish a lot.
i am watching the show but also i dont. its lile background noise while doing hair. i dont quite understand the hype. same as new girl.
