I would just love this scene that Karen's face when OP told Karen by threatening my job you lost our service. That the company has a zero tolerance towards people that are combative and trying to scam us.

I pissed off that printing company by giving them a bad rating and telling it that it's because of their phone reps and not the people that are the salesman's fault.

As to the first story that idiot should be denied service. As to the second story op should keep a record of each unwanted call and file a complaint for each call for harassment and violations of do not call. That idiot and the company will learn a very expensive lesson. As to the last story those idiots learned a very expensive lesson and got their over inflated ego deflated because they pushed to far for to long. The boyfriend is lucky to still have a job.

Cold calling after being told to take your name & number off the list equals a $10,000 fine. Tell them that and notify FCC.

As that OP talked in Pounds rather than Dollars it's likely to be in the UK, but yes there's the equivalent body and fines here.

Internet vs tv story: C'mon OP, don't leave us hanging. Did Karen's account get shut down?
Printer story: OP, you played nice. I would have pulled a little stunt my wife did with a persistent wrong number caller, i.e., blow a metal police style whistle into the phone as soon as I recognized the caller, then hang up.
BFJ story: Jane wasn't very smart and neither was her partner. He should have known someone would eventually call their bluff and get him in trouble with his department. And that would cause a cascade of attention from other agencies as well.

In that last one: be careful with whom you screw with because they just may screw back and you won't like it.

My friends sister is a hoarder and a nasty karen, rats got in and chewed the wires, she refused to allow anything and made up a insane story how the tech and her brother planned to assault and rob her, and other things,

    2nd story
Some people don't realize how much companies save hy buying "broken" equipment and rebuilding it.
One year we purchased 5 commercial coffee makers that the units had been dropped and casings were broken, yet were full of usable parts. We bought them at a price that wasn't even equal to the price of the parts we pulled off 1 unit, let alone 5 units. And we still have several spare components 3 years later
When we "retire" equipment we pull quite a lot of parts off the units and it saves us literally tens of thousands of dollars annually and cuts down on machine downtime

The printer one is a familiar thing for me. We had a help desk solution at my old job where they got paid for every call they opened. So they would close calls as fast as they could, so that the people would have to call back to reopen the issue. Second round of contract put a stop to that, and third round brought it BACK in-house.

Since this was in the UK(I'm guessing) they don't have the same harassment laws as we do in the US. After the first call where we told them to not call us again we'd be on the phone with the state consumer affairs dept and I think the law is federal so bye bye callers.

Last story, and this is what happens when people aren't non-confrontational sheep and think that they should be scared of someone just because their significant other is law enforcement! Let me tell you something just because they're law enforcement doesn't mean they can walk around and do whatever the hell they want yeah I guarantee there's a lot of people who are going to say oh they protect their own, but when you have an entire block of people who are now willing to make actual police report complaints on set officer, yeah it's not going to go so well for the person who wears their badge on their sleeve like a weapon. And yeah this is called what you're supposed to do someone threatens you like that you simply say oh you want me to call the police? Fine let's do exactly what you want me to do just like the person who says sue me I dare you well then you Sue that person! It's very simple hide your freaking head in the sand because you're scared that big fat James husband is a police officer blah blah blah well you get with what you give

Story 2: I'm pretty sure that's part of the whole story. They would occasionally be put back on the list. OP would then toy with the reps.

The 2nd story highlights nicely why the Right to Repair is important and why the big companies hate it, since it cuts in to their profit and its good for the costumer. They dont want costumers, they just want domesticated animals who make them endless profit.

in the second story I myself would have told the call center people to remove my companies name from your call list or I will file a complaint with your boss as well as file a lawsuit for harassment/ in the last story I myself would NOT have called the police I would have called either the state police and/or the feds because they will really get up a police department's ass if they get wind of police corruption on this level

  • @PuncherOfAbs
    @PuncherOfAbs 5 месяцев назад

Before you report her call the feds have the feds stake them out
    If there is retribution
It will all be witness by the Feds
