Except that you can get a PhD in engineering (and several others), thus adding the note provides clarity when you choose to give detail rather than leave it to presume.

I just liked the sound track. GF at the time was the Swayze fan. When the movie came out? I was a contractor in Mexico. I was trained to knife fight in a Phone Booth.
It's a good thing that he gets paid well as a cooler (whatever the hell that is). He's going to be paying off that bogus Ph.D. for a long time.

I enjoyed watching it. It's not iconic as was the original and never could be, but who really cares? It was entertaining. The Knox character - McGregor was entertaining and did well I thought. I also liked the Keys location for a movie.
As expected, I didn't even bother. Same with Robocop, I just pretend that 2, 3, and the remake never happened.
It wasn't a remake they just stole the name and made a shit film. Watched it this evening, my word its awful 😖
8:19 Roadhouse is a great movie. A well-trained bouncer is hired to deal with the troublemakers at a rundown nightclub only to make enemies with an evil local crime boss.

There are six bouncers at the front door, not five. This guy can’t even count. Grew up watching this movie and just watched it again the other night. I guarantee you this guy is never seen the movie

That was a bad joke. Patrick Swayze convinced me he was a martial artist but not a PhD. Maybe he got one of those remote degrees from University of Arizona or Trump University or something.

Time passes. Maybe when it was made it would have been graded a 5/10. With hindsight, would struggle for a 3.
I've seen cops (and even special forces officers) with PhD's, but this movie is silly. Why hire someone for $5,000 (in 80's dollars) just to clean up a roadside dive bar?

This movie is so bad, so lazy, so cliches-ridden, so mind-numbingly inane you literally can't stop watching.
I know a lot of people liked this movie and i get it. I have my guilty pleasures as well. But i have always thought this was the dumbest, big budget, movie I have ever seen.
How many times have you watched it? I saw it when it was released, and bought the DVD. It's a great little escape movie, and I know all the words. Still watch it for fun.
Probably 3 or 4 times over the years. And i get what you're saying. I have my movies like that. I just can’t get past the stupidity of this one. Not criticizing anyone who likes it.
