    So true with the savings of pictures and videos from your Tapo cameras onto your mobile phone: cannot do it if you are outside, which defeats the purpose of having a security camera system with recording function. You can only do so if you are connected to the same network or being home, which defeats the purpose of being able to record any activities while you are away. TO TAPO, FIX THIS ON YOUR APP ASAP.

    17:10 everyone has various needs, and desires, for each of their items and systems. I understand that as for as a company and the security of their property, that is not productive to the goal of the needs.
    But as for as non business use. That would be a little treat, that would be nice.
    If always doing the perfect job. The only thing that would trigger. That would make it where visitors, accepted, and not accepted, would be the only trigger, but opening a clip, only to see a bird, especially on a sunny day. Then you should take a moment of your life, to watch the most beautiful thing around. Life.
    If their is too many triggers, then it might be an issue, but otherwise, people should enjoy it periodically.
    Good and precise review.

    I use a iPad Pro. Will the Tapo app support this iPad? Meaning viewing in Landscape position. How many cameras can I add to the app. If I don’t use a micro card - can I still view live videos AND recorded? And from home or away? As far as the recordings - is there a ‘screen shot’ of the videos? With my Arlo I have to open the video to what’s recorded. Such a time waster. As much as I like the Arlo, having to now pay a subscription I need to find something just as good (but no fees) or better then the Arlo. I thought Norrio was that product - but it does not support iPads. Finally any magnetic mounts? Thx.

      First I will state that I am an Andorid user so not 100% sure, however, there does appear to be a app in the Apple store: apps.apple.com/us/app/tp-link-tapo/id1472718009. Based on the number of cameras that you can pin together a good estimate of the minimal supported cameras per app is 32. Yes, you can still view live video and record if you don't have an SD card. From both home and away. The "clips" will be saved right to your phone or tablet. The "screen shots" if you have an sd card will need to you "record" them to save to your phone. If you are recording from a live feed they will be added to the memories area which has a download button right there. I have not seen any magnetic mounts from Tapo for this camera.

      If I am understanding you correctly what your asking would not work. The camera even if "powered" by usb or solar will only keep the battery topped off. It will not let you change the record mode to always recording. This is common for battery powered cameras. They all use PIR to detect motion. This means they hybernate when they don't detect anything. If you want to have a camera constantly record you will need to look at a powered camera that has not battery and is plugged in all the time.

    • @kbuss10
      @kbuss10 Год назад

      hey man thank you for the answer sorry for not getting back because of the holidays. watched again and it's a really good review. at 5:20 you say that the battery lid has a pass through does that mean if I get just 5 volts on a USB C plug in, I can keep the battery topped off All the time? so I can max out the camera settings? or the battery electronics does not allow that and it has to be removed to be charged? I think it's a really important distinction considering ease of use. about clip lengths limitations if I understand well The maximum length of a clip can be 120+10 seconds? Even if the trigger is constant it won't go over this but start a new recording instead? what I don't understand if a thief packs out the car that would probably be more than this so the actual evidence would be cut in several parts. considering the crimes talked about in the media today the max length should be at least 5 or 10 minutes imho. please correct me if I don't understand properly the lengths at 30:35 in your video. but seeing the very friendly interface and straightforward use I'm still considering this unit. 🤔🤔

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  Год назад

      @@kbuss10 All good, the pass through lets you keep the battery topped off via power. It is meant to be used with a solar panel but could be direct power as well. This way you do not have to be without the camera monitoring things to charge the battery. At 30:35, yes the max clip length is 120+10 for the buffer. The trigger interval can be set to 0 which would limit the chance of actions not being recorded. Yes it is a little annoying having a number of action clips over a large period of time but that is done to help save the battery. Not everyone will use this camera wired to power to keep the battery topped off.

    I love mine but the batteries take forever to charge up and also i have an issue with it not detecting things correctly. For example itll say pet detected ill look at the recording and itll be me and my little boy walking up the stairs it thinks my little boy is a pet i wish they could fix this it has a hard time distinguishing what an actual animal is

      As you might have seen in my video it thought a bird was a person and I think tha has to do with how large something is thought to be by the camera. The brid was very close and larg so it was a person. I feel that things like this can get better over time as the camera learns what people and pets actually look like.

      @Wanderer001_Reviews I mean I totally agree but I just feel as though that's something thames could've tested and had worked out so we as consumers didn't have to experience that ya kno. Alot of times we rely on this information to be accurate and then when it isn't its just disappointing.

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  Год назад +2

      The big difference between these two camreas is the dark view on the C325WB is crazy and puts the c420s1 to shame. But the C420 cane be put just about anywhere. If I had to pick I would go with the C325WB as long as I had a power supply. The C325WB also has better connectivity becuase they are not built into the body of the camera. let me know if you had any other areas of question.

    I don't understand how it lasts 180 days. Could you please explain? Math doesn't add up for me: 5200mAh×3.6V/1000/3.6Watts = 5.2 hrs

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews
      @Wanderer001_Reviews  Год назад +4

      That's because as a battery powered camera it hibernates when not in use. So you don't constantly have a live feed coming from the camera it needs to be woken up either by you looking through the app or an event that triggers it to start recording and communicating that to the application. The 180 days is based on hey maximum of a set amount of clips.

    Heres why i like havng cloud storage as well though say somone breaks into your house and for whatever reason they still your base station with your card in it well that would be a problem if that was thebonly way to access your footage but with the subscription you can still see what happens on the camera becasue its on the cloud so i think its nice that they give you the option for either one. I do wish they would offer something like a replacement guarantee there are some camera companies who if your camera is taken down and stolen they will send you another cameea to replace it so thats something that i was hoping they would offer with this

    • @Wanderer001_Reviews

      I understand and like cameras that give you the option. Then it is up to you which you would like to use. Some cameras make you get a subscription only and that can trun off a lot of people.
