Excellent... I was waiting to see if you talked about marking the white wire as a hot wire. When you bring your power to the light first then to the switch it is called a "switch loop". The other way when you bring your power through the switch first is called a "switch leg"...
@@JohnandKelbi Most of the time it saves wire over all. Now a neutral is required at the switch for smart switch's I think, so kinda useless anymore to wire like this. I haven't wire any houses in years...

What’s the advantage of running the line to the light first instead of switch?
