Did anyone notice that Mark Wood has changed his run-up?
I read an article on cricbuzz which said that Wood was listening when Michael Holding was on commentary during a match and he said that Wood's short run up was causing him ankle problems so he tried bowling with a longer run up and it worked.
Yea it was Michael Holding who gave him the advice to have a longer run up like a plane taking off. Think he had a quiet word with him and Wood didn’t find out from the commentary box

It's not something where they have to make a decision, it's more like one over has 6 balls. If the over rate is slow the captain gets match fee cut, if repeat then 1 match suspension.

@@aravindd249 its means regulations should also allow if somebody can show some good athleticism,after landing he can jump further using momentum&deliver from whichever part of pitch can b prove very useful to get wickets,i.e long jumper can b dreaded bowlers,they can reach face2face with batter

I am really impressed by the pitches in this series.Bowlers at last got something in the pitches to bowl on.Love to see batsmen struggle.Pitches round the world are pretty much batsmen friendly and grounds so lush green that reverse swing is thing of the past now.

That's the reason why Shimron Hetymer should bat at number 3 , because Shai Hope , Darren Bravo and Roston Chase takes more times to score fast ,so that creates pressure especially with scores of 1 ,0 and 8 , that is scoreboard pressure on lower order .

This performance by Wood is highly overrated. The West Indies batsmen gifted him their wickets, with the exception of Bravo and Dowrich. These were the only two wickets which he truly earned. The rest were atrocious shots played by batsmen who lost their discipline and focus, Shai Hope and in particular Roston Chase. Very good catching by the England fielders though. Let us see what he does in the second innings.

We do a 2 minute and 45 minute version and can't do anything else for contractual reasons with broadcasters. That will change in 2020, so you'll have to enjoy them as they are for now.
