As of writing this (July 21st 2022), this STILL WORKS on the PS4.
This video is probably the best explanation of that method, however it's way too long so tl;dw
1. Drop your material on the floor, if it shows up on multiple stacks collect it and drop again.
2. Enter workshop mode, highlight the item.
3. TAP the scrap (square on PS4) button, letting go of the button is the most important step that everyone struggling with this method gets wrong.
4. As soon as you let go, HOLD the store button (circle on PS4) and keep holding it all throughout the method.
5. If both windows show up, you got it right.
6. While still holding up the store button, just confirm both tasks (X on PS4) one after the other and that's it! The material will be doubled in your workbench inventory.

Yeah I only made the video because the comments of all the other videos for this glitch were confused so I tried my best 😅.
@@BiohazardGG I have only one problem with this glitch ( dont get me wrong the glitch works Ive been using it off and on all day and it works)as I repeatedly use the glitch I mysteriously lose more then half of the total amount after preforming the glitch. Am I doing something wrong or is it mysteriously deleting a portion of my item
I’ve tested this multiple times in several different settlements with every single raw material (total of 31) in the game. I know 32K is a safe amount for each item at nearly all, if not all, settlements. So that means you can still make more than that, but you need to make separate deposits. For example, when you get to exactly 32K, do the scrap/store exploit just like he’s doing in the video, and when you take it back out of the workshop, it’ll accurately show 64K as the quantity, but when you drop it on the ground again, it’ll separate into 2 clusters of 32K. DO NOT combine them again. Instead, if you still wish to make more of it, just do the scrap/store method with only one cluster of the 32K. Rinse and repeat and keep dropping them on the ground until you have as much as you want, but I like to keep my workshop quantity below a million of each material. Never tested it to see how high is safe in the workshop, but I have 900K+ of most materials at multiple settlements. You can still make copies of the excess and keep them in containers. Like I said, just don’t deposit more than 32K per container and don’t go higher than that until you’re done duplicating that material in that settlement. I like to make copies of each material, so I have several toolboxes lined up (I usually make the basic red one…only costs 2 steel to make) with 32K of each material, but any container will do. Hopefully, this helps you and anyone else who sees it.

not working...at least the way you say it. It works as follows - you press (scrap) and keep it pressed !just one button!, then, you release (scrap) and immediately after that you have to press and hold (store), as simple as that, and none of that simultaneous shit everyone is babbling about...

You get materials and the original items back, not an item dupe ,BUT... it's still a very in depth vid on how to dupe materials which is GREAT for those who do not know how👍
Yeah I agree mainly due to the fact that in the end, you have to craft the stuff anyway taking up time. This however can be majorly negated but using one the trader skill allowing you to gain xp when selling items. This allows you to go from lvl 1-64 in under 10 minutes (as shown in my lvl 1-64 in under 10 minutes video).

Theres a limit to how much u can dup tho. I made 64k gold into 2 after duping for a lil while. Guess integer overflow resets u to 2

Casey it might be that you have too many in your world, i.e the game can only handle a certain amount of items before it has to delete some so that it doesn't crash. It may also be an issue with your console/PC depending of the specs of it.

You can't do this for ammo unfortunately but I've seen the glitch your talking about. I think that is the only way to dupe ammo as they have not added an ammunition crafting system like in 76
Finally got it down! Now I’m just duplicating a bunch of gold
the scrap prompt is just as fast as the store prompt for me so as soon as i let go of x and press b (while on xbox) all im doing is opening the scrap prompt, backing out and opening the store prompt even though i’ve only pressed b once
doesnt work with weapons but found another for that but sometimes it dont work

Is there a way to do this on pc?
I would assume so. You would probably have to do the same inputs as I'm doing but the pc binds instead. I don't play on pc so I don't know what binds you would need.

Only the stuff you can craft with but if you sell the items you get as much gold as you want so you can keep replacing markets for any item

Drop the multiple stacks altogether and then pick them both/all up in a linear sequence ( one after the other).
For me that didn’t work
It shouldn't Matt anyway because you will just be duplicating at half the speed and with how quickly you can duplicate it doesn't change much.
@@BiohazardGG that is true but when it gets to 100 stacks it gets tiring
I guess but the last way to 'merge' the stacks is to put them into a container. This should make the stacks become one again. If this method doesn't work then I am not sure of what to do as these methods have never failed for me.
