- QRS roll 1188 played by J. Lawrence Cook.
Composed by Euday Bowman - 1914
Playing QRS roll 1188 on a 1913 Remington player piano.
A bit of a mystery. Billings rollography says 1188 was played by Max Kortlander and reissued as Q-167 in 1970. This roll, however, is a completely different arrangement than Q-167 and is played by J. Lawrence Cook.

Squidward, Squidward, hey Squidward
This has always been the far superior version of the 12th street rag. No one could really play, write, or arrange like J. Lawrence Cook did when he worked at QRS. This particular song means a lot to me since it was the very first piano roll I ever heard and I still have that copy of it in my collection. Cute player piano, though it sounds like the player mechanism could use a little love since it sounds leaky. Great recording none the less!
@@mg3261 I just meant that the keys are very quiet and don't seem to be moving all the way. Like there's barely enough suction to keep it running.
J. Lawrence Cook is by far my favourite Player Piano roll arranger as is heard here. His arrangements are so full and show off the instrument so wonderfully.
I don’t know why I’m Vibin to this
This reminds me of my childhood watching Spongebob

Wonderful music for dancing in this 2024
I've always associated this piece of music with the Charleston, not knowing until now that there were at least ten years between the two. Something new I learned today
