This episode was lit back when Eastenders was literally unmissable so sad seeing the show back then to what it is now even Phil back then had something about him

Before the crap plots, hammy dialogue, poor characters and heavy handed writing EE was immense

This was Phil during his scariest and most evil phase (late 1999-2003) when he pounded the beat in Albert Square and did things that made Grant look tame. Phil was always much more sinister and menacing than Grant. Mark knew Phil would have destroyed him in a fight, he even said so to Phil once in Feb 2001 when Phil was looking for Lisa and thought Mark was covering for her.

Grant in the early 90's was worse than Phil, he almost beat a man to death over nothing. Also knocked Sharon about more than once.

@@H.K.5 He even planned to take part in an armed robbery in 1994 and even injured a copper in 1993 and whacked Michelle at the same time. Den Watts was no match physically but mentally he would have had Grant banged up for 20 years by framing him.

For a story that pretty much copied Dallas this had the entire nation talking. Only a mere two years later it'd been taken over by Corrie & Emmerdale
