    I love terrarium tours! Your plants are so interesting and beautiful. Really love the blue oil fern ❤

    Thank you for this video. I also have a larger terrarium. I recently got my first Labisia after seeing yours. Mine has the pink edges, and is growing well so far. Mostly I have begonia and some staghorn ferns hanging in the back. I have fans in mine and spray it every couple of weeks as it is not sealed. The ferns wilt which signals me to spray. I also have a blue oil fern. Anyway, many thanks for inspiring me. I love the more exotic looking plants that can only live in a terrarium. I keep thinking of putting in a frog, but not of sure of having to supply it with insects to eat.

    Your terrarium is growing so well!! They have the misting systems on timers, and you can set them just to mist like every 15 minutes for like 1minute or less!!

    • @plantwithroos

      Thank you! Installing a misting system is a lot of work from what I've seen, but I actually have a fogger! It's less humid but still works. It's currently on my hygrometer but that says it's always above the minimum percentage I set so it never switches on 🤭 might put it back on a timer instead!

      Yes exactly! And I also finally fixed my sprayer - turns out one of the pipes was clogged. So now that sprays a lot more and it's easier to water that way every day!

    Hi Roos, your terrarium is absolutely brilliant! Love those fancy blue thailandicuc fern! Your orchids grow really well there. I hope you get more orchids for your terrarium. The begonias are gorgeous too! Thanks for the tour! I hope you get rid of thrips soon. Happy growing! How often do you water the terrarium? Can you video it please?

    • @plantwithroos
      @plantwithroos  2 месяца назад +1

      I just got two orchids today at the big plant market! Nothing special just cute tiny orchids for in the liana vine👌 and yes I will make a video! I usually spray in there when I remember- it wasn't often before cos the sprayer was annoying but I fixed it and now it's much more fun and quick. I water the plants in wall pots maybe once every 2 months or when I want to pour some fertiliser in. Will make a full video!

    this looks great Roos! hope the thrips get eaten pretty soon!!, I have the same problem with my terrarium I find the light at the top just dries things too quickly, I jkust kinda made peace with it I didn't like the look of brown death moss so I have used a few plants to cover it, have you tried growing one that it's called columnea microphylla? that one was cover the wall quite well and it gets suntress to a pretty color, oh and it flowered for me recently so cute!

      @plantwithroos  3 месяца назад +1

    • @Karambootje
      @Karambootje 3 месяца назад

      @@plantwithroos good evening, Kraussinia does not form different layers and it is not as curved as Uncinata. S. Kraussiana is more ground covering. If you look it up in the internet you will see it meteen.

    Terrarium looks incredible! I have a elaphoglossum metallicum that is new to me and was wondering if you had any care tips? It's a import so its in a bin for a few days but after that I am a little unsure. I do have a blue oil fern so may e it could go in the same cabinet.. I also purchased a cissus quadrangularis that is also a challenge.. i can grow orchids, hoyas and ficus so I stepped out of my comfort zone 😂😂

    • @plantwithroos
      @plantwithroos  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you! Is that different than the Microsorum thailandicum? Im not really sure I can help, I'm flying by the seat of my pants or whatever that saying is. I heard microsorum Thailandicum needs to dry out a bit more than other ferns, more like Hoya. That's why fern growers might struggle with it? That's just something I've heard tho!

    think this tank too dry for the moss and ferns , judging from the sphagnum moss , put some in the other begonia tank , ok you mention you didnt water it , lol

    • @plantwithroos
      @plantwithroos  3 месяца назад

      Even when I do spray it gets dry at the top very very quickly. Maybe cos it's too tall? I'm working on figuring out a solution, but might also build my smaller terrarium into a planted tank with more humidity
