My problem with things like the "Cancel culture" and everything that comes with it is: The people that are supporting it try to fix problems by creating a bigger one with the way they handle the situation. They want respect, love and harmony but under very specific rules and who ever is not ok with those rules is part or the problem and needs to be canceled or is labeled as a rasist and all those other "nice" words.
Logic or the fact that people can have different opinions and still get along. Don seem to exist in their self created universe.

Her type of mentality has been taught for decades (usually in American schools), but now the internet gives them their soap box to preach from. I remember one of my earliest memories in school (probably First Grade) was being called a nazi by a kid because I told them my mother was an immigrant from Germany, and that kid assumed that all Germans were nazis because that is what their parents told them. The kid kept calling me a nazi until I cried. It was actually such an issue apparently that the school called in that kid's parents the same day and they had a talk about it. That kid never talked to me again, he eventually trasfered schools and I haven't seen him since, over 15 years later.

I'm only speaking from what I've experienced and what friends from others states have told me. For reference the school I attended in my story was an Elementary School in Oregon. The school was shut down some odd years ago.

Many Italian (and Sicilian specifically) immigrants were discriminated against when they moved to the US for better lives. They were not allowed to label themselves as white in the 1800s. It goes to show how nonsensical it all is.

I appreciate the sentiment behind this; but I also see a degree of "danger" in it when it's applied on a mass scale. Many people believe that others are stupid just because they share different world views or disagree on some contentious points. The increased polarisation that's being seen in a number of western countries is at least partly due to less communication between people. Why do I need to argue/converse with an sjw? They're stupid. Why do I need to argue/converse with a trump supporter? They're stupid.

It's a two-fold problem, since many people who lose trust in institutional authority seem to sometimes lose it across the board, rather than identifying what sort of institutions should be trusted more than others (historians and scientists vs corporate advertisers and government entities in the pocket of corporations). That's my honest first reaction when I hear these twitter dwelling schizoids through words like that around. X is fascist, Y is fascist etc. Those people lived and died by something completely horrific and inhuman when its carried out. And here, we have some westoid female screeching, in complete comfort. No starvation, no boots on her or her families neck etc, trying to lecture you. 'You're a fascist.' Bitch you don't even know what that means.

People ask for her credentials not because she's a woman, but because she obviously doesn't act like she knows what she's talking about. Another video I saw talking about for content showed that she loves to argue with us "trolls" and seeing people get like this makes her day. If that's not a red flag idk what is. And anything shown on the internet can be made up, so I don't put faith in "credentials" anyway, but what people do and say and how they present themselves.
Honestly, I feel like she’s fully aware that what’s she’s stating is wrong and she only does so to generate views for her content.

We are completely different countries. I sincerely hope she never comes here because Glasgow is full of people who would put her in hospital for spouting such rubbish.
I think her comment about England and the UK is really low, offensive and shows her ignorance. Here in the US, a lot of Americans have never travelled outside the US and know nothing about other countries.
She is right about US being a large country, but we have a lot of empty land in areas and the population is spread out. Bigger doesn't mean better. Also, let's not forget the British Empire which covered over 25% of the modern world was many times larger than the US. So yes, she's completely wrong altogether!
@@adnaansheikh1 the only time that map comparison is anywhere relevant anyway is when we talk about how the earlier made maps for marine navigation distorts the planet (the further a land is from the equator, the larger it becomes on a flat map). or, when we compare the US with Europe. someone said a good comparison: you can drive 4 h and still be in Texas while here the same amount would bring me three countries and four languages away from home.

@@sztallone415 I know that type of comparison really only works when discussing travel and commute times and stuff. A 30min to 1 hour commute is actually pretty reasonable in a lot of the US. In more rural areas that could be considered very short. I mean 4 hours of driving for a basic day trip to a beach or lake isn't unreasonable. I'd imagine in most of Europe that would be a ridiculous amount of driving for a single day.

- On tiktok, a crazy influencer speaks nonsensical and wrong history theories;
- In a long video, Metatron debunks her false claims with sounded historical argomentations, without EVER attacking her on a personal level;
- the crazy influencer makes a reply based ONLY on personal attacks, without trying to counter even one of Metraton's argomentations related to the actual matter;
- Metatron makes a response to the response, calling out all the false and misleading things she has said about him, exsposing her superficiality and bias, again without once attacking her personally;

The fact, that, she dares to throw fascism accusation on Europeans, that had to live under those regimes throughout the 20TH century is disgusting, our grand-parents lived under Mussolini, Franco, Pétain, Hitler, Salazar, etc. our heritage is ten thousand more traumatic, violent and horrendous than as a US person, could ever get.

The last 15 years, I've visited Italy at least once a year, I really know each region of the country, I've seen the military everywhere, and they're always so nice and laidback (as most italians) that I really get how military presence in the street ain't comparable to an autoritarian force pressurizing the people.
