Such a beauty, and such a good idea to teach her a move like this “guard” position.

say guard after she is in position.. both of my dogs are trained for "moose" and they run through your legs and sit but if our biggest dog runs through he has nut checked my husband and put him on the floor at lowes. i made sure my husband was okay then busted up laughing.. he only says moose with our mutt.. i will say it too my aussie but i don't have nuts to check lol

You two are great trainers! This is an amazing "trick" to teach a dog.

I would suggest you say 'guard' after she is in place.

I like your videos, such great dogs and you're doing a great job.
Just as an advice... When you want to teach them new word, say it exactly when they already do it.

Please could you make a video comparing the different breed behaviors of goldies and dobies?? Ive been very interested in both breeds but I've shied away from dobies because I heard they're generally not actually a very healthy breed and less haopy go lucky family pet type personality.
But im particularly wondering on their different behaviors, how they're perceived when you guys go out...highlighting your experience rather than general breed facts.

You get them used to the movement then you give them command right before they do it

I dunno I feel like the faff of bending over waving the treat around has already made you sufficiently vulnerable?
