No joke, I'm putting in a return request for my Legion GO after getting the OLED Steam Deck. I just can't put down my OLED after getting it! It's amazing. As much as I thought I would love the legion GO more, it just isn't as portable and the software has nothing on Steam. Great video as always Steve!
Power isn't everything! I don't need windows for the games I play on my handheld. The legion GO is way too heavy and bulky for my liking. The controls don't feel as good, and the battery life is horrible. The OLED is such a better handheld gaming device in almost every way. Yes, the Legion GO will get better performance in AAA titles and has a larger screen with higher resolution, but unless you're watching movies on it, the higher res does nothing but lower the performance and kill the battery faster. @@blastu2fool
My partner ordered me the one tb version snd i am super happy.. got info a bout tracking yesterday so waiting impatiently for it… my week is gonna be super busy so that helps the wait.. i have a nintendo switch but not the oled one.. this will be my very first steaam deck!!
The tech is getting better and its cool I've tried it but tbh its still in it's infancy as a first gen product it will be cool to see how these pc handhelds develop In the next 5 or so years and when they're capable of even more
I guess you could call it infancy in the grand scheme of things, but it’s come a long way for the past few years. The steam oled is pretty amazing if you’ve tried it yourself.
serious question, is the 550 version enough? or is the 100$ really worth it? I am just debating over that. I want to install different games at the same time
In terms of storage? Yep, you'll be more than fine. MicroSD cards are a super-easy way to upgrade, but I've personally upgraded my internal SSD as well - something which is even easier to do with the new screws.
I found that storage doesn’t really matter to me much as I don’t like to have a bunch of games downloaded at once it makes it harder for me to stick to one game at a time but for things like emulation and saves it’s good but I could have one game downloaded and Im fine
Love the hardware. However there’s absolutely no PC games I want to play. What a waste. Valve needs to partner with Microsoft and get some Xbox games on this thing.

Your crazy 😂 Legion is more powerful then then oled

I have 6 handhelds now lol, I gotta start selling these things off 😂
@@blastu2foolnot that big of a difference as you may think especially at 15 watts. The Steam Deck oled outperforms it in many games at 15 watts.

Have fun! It’s a great handheld!
Great vid, just found this funny. 16:55 "Obviously the OLED is in front", 17:11 "I won't actually point out which one is which" lol :P
Yea I had to acknowledge it once but the phrasing is weird lol
All good, great vid, I love my new OLED deck. Thanks for reaching out. :) @@1UpNerdcore
Warframe at 90fps medium settings with 3.5 hours of battery life is crazy good
thats amazing. i play on 60 at medium but i haven really tested the battery on just warframe yet
Limited edition 1 tb will be my first steam deck🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊

steam deck oled will be better to run emulated old games and abandonware , it is obsolete for modern games
@@lufasumafalu5069 You're conflating "modern games" with "modern AAA budget games".
@@David-ln8qh sure , and Steamdeck is budget handheld incapable of running budget games
with OLED , 9 inch screen upgrade , 1080p resolution upgrade and Z1 extreme upgrade , Steam Deck OLED is a winner !!!
I subbed, you’re gud with reviews… 👍
Much appreciated!
Keeping mine. Respect your decision, tho. Sending back for the get it cheaper price? Brilliant!
I have the PG42UQ, as well, and in HDR, small parts of the screen get to 800 nits. Don't downplay the HDR ability of that beautiful monitor. :D

You can always get a micro sd card if you need to so you’re covered either way
Anti glare screen 100 dollars more and a case that’s 2 cases in one .minimize case size by taking it out the actual case too the smaller case

Apparently, the oled does offer a few extra fps in some games.
Something I didn’t mention either is OLED has sub 1ms response time compared to ips or va
Yeah it will do especially in more CPU intensive games
yes +1 fps is great for the retro / emulated / abandonware games that steamdeck oled can run.. it is crappy for modern games , obsolete already
Does performance run better with lesser gigs or more or is it the same no matter what storage you get?
That won’t matter really since to my knowledge since all models use nvme ssd’s.
@@1UpNerdcore ok thanks
It's Dead Space, not Dead Cells 😉
thx :) I was looing for Dead Cells on steam.

What Microsoft games are you wanting to play that aren’t on this?
Depends on what games you want to play. sure game pass is not working. but you can still buy some Microsoft games on Steam.
