How do thrusters in space work? What medium are they pushing off of? You said that there are a bunch on spaceships could you explain how that works? There is no medium to push off of. i’m being serious. I’ve never heard someone explain how that would work in space in reality not a math problem. Thank you so much if you can explain it because I have a hard time grasping that.
When a rocket goes into space, there is a force that is against the upward movement called air resistance. Using the box in the video as an example, there is a vector going in the opposite direction. This vector would be on the top-right corner facing the other way; however, its magnitude is smaller. In space, there is no air, so essentially, the air resistance disappears leaving only the upward vector.
