The NV3500 was also available with the TBI 350 from 1992-95. In fact it was the standard transmission in those years altho most opted for the automatic. Not many were built with the stick. For example, my Yukon is one of 273 manual transmission models made in 1994.

That body style 2 door was introduced in 1992 not 1993, 1992 was the only year that still had the 700r4/4l60 not the "4l60e" there is a difference!! The 4l60e started in 1993. In 1995 the blazer name was dropped and they called them tahoe after 1996 year, that same year is when 4 door version was introduced, in 1995 the new style dash was introduced but with no passenger airbag and still the tbi engine, in 1996 featured passenger airbag and the vortec engine was introduced.production officially ended in year 2000 for the gmt 400 version of the tahoe (obs)... I'd figure I'd fill you in on more accurate information.. also the barn door was introduced in 1995, that still made the tailgate version alongside the barn door but the barn door version was more popular so you see more barn door version after 1996, but the tailgate version was still available all the way up to 2000

I think it was actually 88-98 but I could be wrong too. But I got a ‘92 and it’s running strong and I love it. Thanks for the info man👌🏽
No problem brotha!
Good video, Are you still stuck in the Tahoe😜 I have a 97 2dr 2wheel drive. The brakes and emission are other issues they have.
No she's up and driving now!
You should do a q and a since you got 430 Subscribers! I just did one! There fun!
I will definitely plan one out
@@YLegalRacing alright! That will be Fun!
The passenger seat's bolt pattern is different from the driver's side. If you need to replace the passenger seat, the 4-door body style passenger seat will not fit.
Damn didn't know that
My inside door handle is broken on my 4dr Tahoe lt and sometimes I forget to roll down the window to exit.
True story
Vortec engine or 350 tbi? Which would you guys get if you want reliability/longevity?
Either would do, probably more reliable with the tbi because spider injection a little more involved
I’m getting my first truck tmr a 99 4 door 5.7 green!
Hell yeah!!
Looking at 2 door right now.. thanks my dude
No problem my dude!
Hi I know this is old video, but my step bro is gonna sell me one that runs good for $6000 but I’m nervous because it has 250k miles on it I know nobody can know for sure but do you think it’s a good idea for the value I wanna tune it up and trick it out like you’re doing
250 ain't nothing bro. It's condition of paint and interior at that point. I wouldn't pay 6k for one in my condition. Now's a different story
@@YLegalRacingthank you for your insight ima go through with it
@dilo2785 😎😎😎
They also came with a 6.5 diesel
True, but nooooooo one wants those. Those are super rare but I wouldn't want one. I've worked on a few and not worth it, 5.7 for life lol
@@YLegalRacing I have one, and get stopped every couple months asking if its for sale. Great fuel economy and extremely reliable.
True. The ones I've seen for sale go for crazy money. I've worked on a few of those 6.5s, definetly a rare gem
1% are diesel.
That's a super low number. I'm sure there are some unicorns out there, one owner all options and leather
You forgot about the 6.5 liter two-door 2-wheel drive
That's a gem! I want a single cab dually with a 454
If my 5.7 ever goes bad. Im ready to stick a cummins in it. 1999 2 door with a turbo diesel, what a beast.
That would be tits for real. I'd love a 6.2 with a fat nasty cam
@@YLegalRacing if you got the body. everything is possible, engines and transmission you can find it anywhere. That 6.2 will be a bad ass.
Trust me I've been looking like crazy
one of my future builds im looking foward too
They're freaking awesome bro!
I’m 16 years old and a 11 grader , my dad said this might be my first truck because I’m 5’10 and I don’t like cars , trucks preferably. He has a 4 door Tahoe 2004 model and I like it better then any car I’ve driven , but this might be my first truck a 1999 2 door Tahoe so I thought It would be smart to click this vid
Nice! Bro it will suit every aspect of what a car and a truck can do. You have room to haul stuff around, put your friends in it. It's easy to move around parking lots compared to the BIG BODY suburban. They just need a little love and they will go for a very long time
@@YLegalRacing appreciate it bro , I don’t know much about these but my dad loves them
You'll learn abunch along the way and it will be an awesome daily!
The NV3500 was also available with the TBI 350 from 1992-95. In fact it was the standard transmission in those years altho most opted for the automatic. Not many were built with the stick.
For example, my Yukon is one of 273 manual transmission models made in 1994.
I would love to find a manual! Thats a gem for sure!
1992 to 1999. 1992-1994 were Chevrolet Blazer. Late 1991 - 1999 GMC Yukon
👍🏼
I got a 1997 2door taho 4x4 just put disc rear breaks do to i have 26s on it. But might lift it an put 24x12 on it. Love my 2 door
Niiice, I've yet to come across a 2 door owner that doesn't have anything negative to say, they all love them and I think that's freaking dope
@@YLegalRacing can't complain. One exhaust n she sounds beautiful but two might be a little better thinking about it
@@South_Central63 yeah exhaust isn't one thing I'm too heavy on with this one. I like the factory exhaust for now.
Thats what i like to hear! Big block the world i bet thing is rowdy AF
I'll take that bet in the mustang lol
I have 1997 (2 wheel drive) and yes it's hard to find 👍🏼 it is for sure a 1997 but somehow the engine is an old over throttle body injection. nothing crazy with that engine that's right 🤣 but it picks up and go with no probleme at all. it is the original engine I'm sure and the other thing that's interesting it has 5 lug rims front and back and there is a compartment right where the passenger Airbags should be. no 2 cup places as the 95 but an airbag look with a cut through in to it. looks kinda nice and special. anyway I love my truck and how it drives like a 90s chevy draging it's ass all over the place. it is time to get it shiney again. wish me luck 👍🏼 thanks for the video 👍🏼
Any time brotha good luck on your build!
I got a 99 with the W/T front end and pretty much nothing electronic it. Love that truck to death
Bro white ones goes so hard! That's awesome that for some reason everyone loves these things
Anyone else watching after buying one
😎😎 buy them all bro
Never sold it I look at it and I have second thoughts plus people want shit free I have like six cars from new to classics I really enjoy driving it
Don't sell it!
how do you manage the cargo area with only one door (rear-seats-down) (2D vs 4D) ?
It's easily accessable when the seat slides forward. And with the rear window open you can touch the back seat
I’m in Long Beach I don’t have instagram or any kind of social media
Get with your buddy who sent me pics of the tahoe on IG i gave him info for a potential buyer
Looking to get a 1999 2-Door Tahoe ..
Do it!!!!
Does anyone know if you can swap rear doors?
Uhhhh swap a 4 door to a 2 door?
@@YLegalRacing I meant the trunk from hatch to doors
Can’t be done without a lot of modifications. Sorry for the inconvenience
Ohh, I'm sure that can be done but I haven't looked into it. That's like people modifying front suicide doors on some cars haha
No worries brotha 👍🏼
Is there a forum for 2 door Tahoe owners cuz I can’t seem to find one anywhere. -95 LS driver
There all over Facebook
What year is yours
1996!
Correction 92-99 V8 and diesel... TBI 92-95 vortec 96-99 but 95 has the newer interior and it's 1 year only.. also come in manual
I'll add that to my notes
Are any of them manual?
Yes, and even more rare. I've only seen one manual diesel 2 door and it was 4x4
Does anyone know if the 94 blazer body bolts on to a single cab short bed obs frame? Or is there modifications required?
Found a 94 blazer 4x4 thats been sitting in a field for years, and want to swap it from 4x4 to a 2wd obs frame.
Uhhhhhhhh there's only one way to find out....
It's a k1500 so yea
I will say a 2 door Tahoe with the back cut off still looks like a toy truck
I love the old k5s old school bad ass the tops weren't cut off they came that way. But def look like tonka trucks lol I got a 95 2d 4wd been sitting 4years 4l60e 2-3shift I'm itching 2 Start working on her I really want 2do the 6.0L ls swap I want everything rebuilt but don't have the funds🌛

If you re lucky there are few with the 6.5 diesel. Like my 97 😉
Those are super rare gems! Nice

Those trucks actually come with a driver side Inner door panel you know😀
Yeah yeah yeah, I still gotta fix the window motor. I bought it from the guy and he took it all apart
They don’t all have 4l60e I think pre 2000 was just the 4l60 the only difference is that the 60e is ran off electronics the 60 is not
My 96 is a 60e
I'd figure I'd fill you in on more accurate information.. also the barn door was introduced in 1995, that still made the tailgate version alongside the barn door but the barn door version was more popular so you see more barn door version after 1996, but the tailgate version was still available all the way up to 2000
And that's what I'm here to look for! Thanks for the info, I'm learning the history as I'm going
I just found a 92 GMC Yukon for $2,900 two-door

@@YLegalRacing 4x4 I found it by complete accident, a friend bumped up his Tahoe 4 Door and needed some front body panels, so I was sliding across Marketplace looking at wrecks trying to find a good hood & bumper.
So I see 95 Tahoe part out I click scroll!!!!! MANUAL!!!!! $2500 OBO whole or part out. Good motor 50 K on it. I call ask what's wrong with it clutch is funny transmission might have bearing problems and the brakes suck. I told pull the ad I'm on my way.
I drove across the state with cash picked up a u haul truck and trailer loaded it went home. Next weekend I looked to see what Shit I stepped in. The brakes rear cylinders toast, rebuilt the rear brakes. Still would not stop well . Must have put a quart of Dot 3 though. My neighbor comes over and said you bleed the abs here he pushed a button I step the pedal goes stiff cool brakes.
So I figured I would bleed the clutch climb underneath have my kid step the clutch!! WTF the transmission is moving, the guy who installed the motor Never Tightened the Bell house. 5 minutes with a 9/16 wobble and 3' of extension BAM running driving truck.
