Hi! I'm so obsessed with Cats right now so I'll do my best! Sorry I'm late!! Grizabella is the cat who sings this song. She was once a very beautiful cat hence her title of "Grizabella the Glamour cat." However, it seems that Grizabella left the other cats in the group, likely to explore the rest of the world. Now she has grown into her old age and the rest of the cats resent her. This is likely do to her leaving, her old age, or both. There isn't an official answer, and what I have to say is based on what I've heard from others. Anyway, Grizabella repeatedly tries to get the rest of the cats to accept her and touch her as touch is a sign of care and acceptance here. Though the kittens are curious and accepting of her, the older cats shun and push her away. After the dancing of the Jellicle ball (the cats dance in preparation for one to be chosen to go to the "heavyside layer" to be reincarnated), Grizabella enters to dance with them to be accepted. She is, however, pushed away once more. Alone on the stage in the moonlight, she sings a prelude to her own number, "Memory." Here, I believe she relates herself to the moon as it stands alone like her. Grizabella sings of her happy and beautiful memories when she was accepted and beautiful. She's so upset of her loneliness and just wishes for the others to accept her again. The street lamps gutter at her presence, the leaves crumble at her feet. She is alone. All she can do is remember her memories of when she was beautiful and a part of the Jellicle cats. A time she was happy.
Hi it's me Amanda Tucker this video is beautiful and kind of sad because I feel that grizabella is singing about the memories about when she used to live with the cats anyway good job keep up the great work you're doing well and well done stay positive.
Suddenly... Follow me home if you would dare I wouldn't know where to lead me Should I take chances when no one took chances on me? So I've watch from the dark, wait for my life to start With no beauty in my memory All that I wanted was to be wanted Too young to wander London streets, alone and haunted Born into nothing At least you have something, something to cling to Visions of dazzling rooms you never get let into And the memories were lost long ago But at least you have beautiful ghosts And so maybe my home isn't what I had known What I thought it would be But I've feel so alive with these phantoms of night And I know that this life isn't safe, but it's wild and it's free All that I wanted was to be wanted I'll never wander London streets, alone and haunted And the memories were lost long ago So I'll dance with these beautiful ghosts

That's why "Beautiful Ghosts" appear
@@ChristHoon that's right
You are a spammer
Should have add Track 14.5 - Beautiful Ghosts (1998 Film Cast)
beautiful ghosts is a new song from the 2019 movie bro
That song is from the 2019 movie, this is the 1998 version, which is far superior than the 2019 version
Come on, it's just a joke
@@ChristHoon I mean... It didn't sound like one though? Just saying sarcasm doesn't translate well through typing lol
Suddenly...
Follow me home if you would dare
I wouldn't know where to lead me
Should I take chances when no one took chances on me?
So I've watch from the dark, wait for my life to start
With no beauty in my memory
All that I wanted was to be wanted
Too young to wander London streets, alone and haunted
Born into nothing
At least you have something, something to cling to
Visions of dazzling rooms you never get let into
And the memories were lost long ago
But at least you have beautiful ghosts
And so maybe my home
isn't what I had known
What I thought it would be
But I've feel so alive
with these phantoms of night
And I know that this life isn't safe, but it's wild and it's free
All that I wanted was to be wanted
I'll never wander London streets, alone and haunted
And the memories were lost long ago
So I'll dance with these beautiful ghosts
This isn't the 2019 film.
@@finleyforevermore Doesn't matter, as long as everyone enjoy it
