Final LGR Video of 2022 That Fish Tank PC Rig is pure gold, and really makes it much more amazed. That’s why it’s called a “ARCquarium PC” since it has a Intel Arc Graphics Card in it.
Thank you for explaining that this is not a suitable home for fish. I’ve seen way too many people online who use fish as nothing more than decoration and take poor care of them, so I just appreciate hearing someone vouch for taking proper care of fish.
The cheap price and the idea of water spilling around / dripping down the side of the case / getting knocked over or something gives me fair anxiety lol. Also you are right that heating up fish is a bad idea, small temperature changes can kill them !

Should have a French gutter between the tank and computer. Would not help with a catastrophic failure but would ensure a errant drop never makes it into the computer. In fact I think it could be modified by either replacing the acrylic sheet that broke in shipping or putting on top of it so that any water leakage would be redirected to an empty reservoir behind it. If you have the time and resources.

Agreed. When I saw him actually, you know, RESEARCH if it was ok to just dump a poor fish into this this, I was very impressed when he decided not to. A ton of RUclipsrs (or worse, TikTok "stars"...) would have thrown a betta into this without any research, made the video, then tossed out the fish or returned it to the store. A+ for LGR yet again!
@@Chaos89P Tik Tok is full of bullshit like this. Even those distressing videos of dogs getting scared by wild animals (but plot twist they're friends). I hate that shit.
So aquarist here. The tank's fine. Rimless aquariums are a thing and very popular, especially topless ones for planted tanks. What bugs me here is the...frankly inadequate filtration and substrate included. I could 100% turn this into a dope planted tank, but basically everything except the tank it's self and the case would need to go, different substrate, lamp, filter, all of it. ...also water changes could prove to be a challenge if you aren't careful.
This is still one of my favorite videos of yours from 2022. It was a ride to watch considering how much stuff went wrong but you still got to the end fine somehow. Hope you have something else in store for us at the end of 2023.
It will collect a lot of dust, which is something you don't want in your loop. It will clog the microfins in your CPU block. You also would have to be careful about which decorations to put inside the tank, or you'll make your coolant conductive. That's not as risky as it sounds, but still probably not a thing you want. Radiator-less cooling loops kind of work, but frankly you'd be better off getting something like a Mo-Ra 3 420. It's a humongous radiator which holds something like two litres of water, and has enough surface area to even work completely passively. My computer at full load draws about 800W, but even after several hours of crunching numbers my Mo-Ra never needs to spin the fans up above 300rpm, which is the minimum they can do. It's a very effective piece of kit.
I think that this fish tank looks awesome and makes a great fish tank. Not so much a computer. I just like the computer case as a nice space too keep all the extra fish tank components. I also like the design of clear box on top of opaque box for a computer. Hide the power supply and drives, have all the rgb accessories up top. The mixing of the two seems hazardous though but this is a product purely made as a status symbol.
I'm no aquarium expert, but 3.5 gallons seems very small for a fish tank. I worry that some people who don't know any better will try putting a bunch of fish unsuitable for that kind of environment in one of these things.
I'm a sucker for weird PC cases and this video is really really well made and entertaining. Thank you mister LGR for the best way to end this year with the one of the most bizarre cases yet (will this case qualify for oddware in the future?)
Much props to you for not showing how much thermal paste you're *actually* putting on your CPUs. Prevents a shitton of genuinely unnecessary discussion :)
The issue with this tank would be the temperature differentials. Any high-end gaming for long periods is gonna spike the temperature at least subtly and even some differences in temps can disturb fish. If you just did a plants-only setup this might be cool, otherwise it seems like something that would seriously stress out the fish.
LGR to me is like my bowl of hot ramen after a hard day. Your my go to man I watch all kinds of video but if I want to relax to professional film creation on the nostalgia I love I always head straight to LGR. I’ve never watched a video that I didn’t like. Thanks for what you do man from a fan from Texas
Your water being out gave me a good, hearty chuckle. I can fully empathise with your plight, I know that feeling all too well. As I like to think, if you can't have a laugh when things are bad or chuckle at fate's irony, then what good is having a sense of humor? On a side note, Unreal Tournament must be one of the most compatible games ever. If it's a Windows PC that can run 32-bit applications, UT is going to run. On top of that it's still really fun, and still looks surprisingly good for a game of legal drinking age in U.S.
It’d be nice for a garden, like a PC succulent box. That way you can use the grow light, minimize water and keep something that doesn’t mind the higher temperatures
Very cool project! i have to say the water tank adds an ambience too it that is really nice. I actually really love the look of it, mabye some additional waterproofing methods would benefit it very well, like some inserts for the computer case itself. Very cool video! 🔥🔥🔥
as a hardwear guy kinda im super glad you got an arc we need more competition in the gfx market. More arc sales if more types of gfx cards on the market thats a good thing
It doesn't even have to be an aquascape, this would be a really cool case to use for a terrarium with Isopods and what not. Not to mention probably much safer for your parts and any animals involved if any.
I enjoyed 2 things: 1. The water outage. What irony! 2. The Intel Arc A380 after the DX9 patch. I'm super excited to see where this goes because this is the lowest of the low-end.
so on one hand i love that is essentially two separated boxes, on the other hand i also wanted it to be more integrated so the tank is actually a cooler either way I love this dumb case & the whole concept of Diorama PCs
Fishtank PC things always make me miss mineral oil cooled PCs. It's a shame single components can overwhelm mineral oil's cooling capacity nowadays, along with the lack of cases.
I've put a decent amount of thought into heating an aquarium with water cooling a pc. A power hungry pc running the best stuff pulls in 600-700 watts peak? Maybe a bit more? Let's say 1000 watts. Not all is going to heat. Rule of thumb is is 5 watts per gallon for a tank. When tanks scale up you can get away with less watts per gallon once the tank is heated. Let's go with something readily available. You get a 125 gallon, can range from $100-1000 depending on things. Letsay you got a deal, built a stand and use a 55 gallon tank as a sump and put your radiator etc in the 55 under the tank. Let's say you want the tank go between 75-82 degrees. You could game for a few hours a day and most fish could handle the temp swing and the tank would cool for the rest of the time until you game again. You'd probably still need tank heaters to hold it at a min.
A splendid example of computer-related structural Chinesium. I was actually surprised that the tank didn't leak, and the 'fishtank' didn't manage to fall down onto the computer components within the testing period. "Chinesium" is a term I've encountered for China-sourced anything that is of suspect strength, durability, endurance or reliability.
Needs a sealed top, like an ecosphere. Also, all of the tank peripherals should be usb, no excuse. The price could also be lower considering the build quality.

Imagine finding the tank to one of these cases lying around somewhere, only it's filled with clear epoxy resin and there's a Duke Nukem bust in there.
Just, completely stripped of context and with no explanation.
INSANIQUARIUM! Thanks for unlocking a lost memory, my jaw dropped when I saw it.
The two types of videos I watch on RUclips: Computers/video games, and aquarium keeping. LGR out here saving me time and effort by finally bringing them together.
Edit: After seeing it only holds two gallons, that really limits what you could put, but it might be fun for sea monkeys? You don't have to clean sea monkey tanks so you'd have a lot less likelihood of accidentally splashing the computer.
Maybe it's not the LGR video Clint wanted, but it's the LGR video about the fish tank computer that we needed.
17:48 : General mind-losing vocalizations - Love the Closed Captioning :)
I would never put a aquarium above my pc but a terrarium would look crazy good
Excellent. A new LGR video. 👍
Time to enjoy fishies. 😃
What a weird, weird thing since there is such small space for the fishies and the protection is... well not very good. 😅
Looks nice though. 😄
I was laughing way too much for that water shortage problem. 😂
Not the best day to Clint (and other people on that area) for sure.
Of all the things to go wrong with a fish tank PC case, the water company going out has to be the craziest and funniest!
Final LGR Video of 2022
That Fish Tank PC Rig is pure gold, and really makes it much more amazed.
That’s why it’s called a “ARCquarium PC” since it has a Intel Arc Graphics Card in it.
Next week: SimCity 2000 Retrospective: 30 years later
This video just kept getting better and better! I laughed so hard when there was no water 😂
What a cursed build, so many mishaps. On the plus side, without the tank, the base case actually looks pretty handsome.
Yeah I'd almost buy it to just have the lower portion
I'd love to see you build a computer case out of an IKEA coffee table which you can use to display your collection of antique anvils.
Glad your back online. Love the videos.
ASHEVILLE - Some areas are still under a boil water advisory as the city says service is slowly returning with a water treatment plant - often referred to as the Mills River Intake - back online.
As of 8 p.m. Dec. 29, the majority of Mills River and Arden were brought back online, according to a news release from the city of Asheville.
The way you avoided showing how much thermal paste you used was simply genius. An excellent way to avoid comment section drama 👌
Gives a new meaning to water cooling.
Hey, at least you're not one of those insane RUclipsrs who tries to force a betta fish into a LIGHT BULB (or slightly larger softball-sized light bulb bowl for the thumbnail)!! I get so mad scrolling thru that BS sometimes... Keep up the animal rights, Clint! 🐠💕🐟
yea it is really quite depressing that this is one of the "better" of the gimmicky fish tanks
@@munktayl0rd When I thought TikTokers couldn't get any "stupider."
Our local pet megastore has a selection of betta fish on display in plastic cups. I take it that’s not enough space..?
I feel like it would be great for a miniature diorama, like the ones at natural history museums.
4090 with a 12900k and a salmon in the tank. Couple of hours gaming and you have dinner, none of that heat wasted.
Nah, for that you need some classics, FX-8350 and either a GTX 480 or R9 295x2.
Savage 😂
Insane how the heat joke has switched from AMD to Intel/Nvidia
This case is so cool. I'm only a little disappointed you can't use the aquarium portion as a water cooling reservoir.
But then you wouldn't be able to play games without accidentally making dinner.

Too small tho
@@ida6950 I was thinking that too. Could maybe put some brine shrimp lol
... well, not a good fishtank either, its rather small, not even a single goldfish would exactly live very happily in that
😂 I'm glad that you put this all together so that no one else has to. Oh, the trials and tribulations to make it happen. Amazing.
I'm no aquarium expert, but 3.5 gallons seems very small for a fish tank. I worry that some people who don't know any better will try putting a bunch of fish unsuitable for that kind of environment in one of these things.
I recently looked after a cat and I had to feed the boy's fish. It was a tank smaller than this and the one fish left was about 4mm long.
Yeah you could probably only put a single Betta fish in this thing. Maybe a snail or couple shrimp to go along with it
Pleasant aesthetics indeed. I've always enjoyed aquariums and this is pretty cool looking. Now for some fun with selecting fish 🐠
As someone who both keeps aquariums and likes PCs, the thought of combining the two has never occurred to me. 😂
The issue with this tank would be the temperature differentials. Any high-end gaming for long periods is gonna spike the temperature at least subtly and even some differences in temps can disturb fish. If you just did a plants-only setup this might be cool, otherwise it seems like something that would seriously stress out the fish.
Thanks tank facts! I was going to type up a reason why fish would be bad to maintain in this tank but you nailed it.
Use puddle fish like killies or guppies. They ban handle temp spikes.
Thanks for being responsible about fish
A terrarium would work just fine on top.
Aquarium PC?!
Let that sink in!
It’d be nice for a garden, like a PC succulent box. That way you can use the grow light, minimize water and keep something that doesn’t mind the higher temperatures
Happy New Years, LGR. Thanks for a great video! Looking forward to what you do in 2023^_^
Gonna be honest here, that tank; with the duke nukem statue in it, it feels like something duke would do.
That's a cool reservoir for a water cooling setup.
Very cool project! i have to say the water tank adds an ambience too it that is really nice. I actually really love the look of it, mabye some additional waterproofing methods would benefit it very well, like some inserts for the computer case itself. Very cool video! 🔥🔥🔥
🤣🤣🤣 the tap not working broke me
as a hardwear guy kinda im super glad you got an arc we need more competition in the gfx market. More arc sales if more types of gfx cards on the market thats a good thing
My hardest "you do not need this do not buy this" ive ever had to tell myself oh my god i love this silly beauty
It doesn't even have to be an aquascape, this would be a really cool case to use for a terrarium with Isopods and what not. Not to mention probably much safer for your parts and any animals involved if any.
I suppose that the movie to play on this computer would be Waterworld.. :D
Wouldn't Finding Nemo be more appropriate?
@@carltonleboss Or Little Mermaid i suppose.

2. The Intel Arc A380 after the DX9 patch. I'm super excited to see where this goes because this is the lowest of the low-end.
This video was so relaxing, I love your videos LGR, something as simple as a pc case review can be fun to watch. Love your content! 😄

WTF, practically all motherboards have the 24-pin connector in that spot... =D That's a middle finger to all your customers if i ever saw one!
Could be a passable sous vide setup depending on the game/application you run
