A calmness overtakes one in this place where the hunted could go for sanctuary. This beautiful small park has a ton of historic significance, going back hundreds of years. Seeing the carved wood Ki'i statues up close was fascinating and it was very interesting learning about the significance of the pu'uhonua and the role it played. Great park to visit, especially towards the end of the day. We spent an hour or less here.
