Vintage Turnbull Service Elevator at the Banting Institute at the University of Toronto

This elevator is awesome. The Banting Institute is slated for demolition this month in favor of a new building. It is a shame that we are losing this cool vintage structure, but it is what it is. I am glad I had the chance to briefly check out this elevator as well as the passenger car just prior to demolition. This elevator escaped modernization, but will not escape demolition, sadly. After the video, this elevator kidnapped me and took me for a few joyrides. I hit the emergency stop and then selected the ground floor (GD (Ground/Dock)) and the elevator behaved as it should.
