Welding that nut was one of the best tips I learned years ago. Amazing how many guys never check that nut to see if it’s tight. I know a guy that lost his rig when the ball popped loose going down the highway

Big Jim , I ordered and received all my locks from Dura Safe ! Just have not gotten my boat yet! It will be next year now as the dealership has closed for the holidays.

Hey Jim, do you NEED a lock on both sides of the graph or will 1 lock prevent the graph from being stolen?

The hitch lock, and the lock on the trailer tounge can be easily snapped off. Damn thieves use a piece of pipe to slide over them, and snap them right off. Years ago the tried to steal my catalytic converter off my truck. They cut one side, but someone must've scared them off before they could cut the other side. Guess anything to slow them down is a good thing.

I have had these locks for many years. I have switched to Garmin and the drawback is you have to buy a separate bracket for each unit because of the release on the cradle that holds the unit. They are an extra $50.00 a piece. That did not make me happy. Without that additional bracket they are useless.

Locks on a Garmin are fairly pointless because they can still snap out of the base still.

@@BigJimFishingsorry guess I should have clarified, they do sell a cradle lock but it's a little different than the standard locks.

Cool thing with the garmin though is they take 5 seconds to remove from the base so it's super easy to take them off to keep them safe.
