I did a video to this a long time ago, mine was a video response to the Happy Console Gamer, it's a great topic, I think he called it Play or Display. I am definitely a collector, but I do play or plan to play every single game I collect. if I had to choose, it would be gamer though.
I would have to say that for me, the collector title might win out a little more. I say that due to the fact that I have several games in my collection that I have no interest in playing or connection to them when I was a kid. But like I said. At least I'm adding them to my collection just so that I have them. I'm not doing it in the hopes that I can flip them for an obscene amount of money later on down the road. I'm the kind of guy that will keep these games even if the retro market crashes and my collection is only worth a fraction of what it is now. I collect for the joy of collecting, not the monitary value. Thank you so much for watching and supporting! You have no idea how much that means to me!
I'd say I'm both. I collect games to play. I play games because I'm a gamer. As of lately I feel more like a gamer as I refuse to support artificial inflated prices and haven't been buying much.
I completely agree! This whole Wata nonsense has really got me pissed off because it's almost destroyed the hobby that folks like you and I enjoy so much. I've actually been doing more gaming lately. Mostly WiiU and Switch. But gaming non the less. My wife and I are gonna be heading to Altoona in a couple of days so I'm planning on hitting that video game store to see what I can find. Hopefully they'll have some "treasures" for me! Haha! And for some odd reason, your comment on my Snacks Video never showed up in the comment section. I got the notification for it, but the comment wasn't there. Strangely, the same thing happened to Retro Reminiscence comment as well and he had to re type it. As far as the retro stuff goes, I'm only picking things up that I can get a really good deal on. Hopfuly the prices start coming down and I can finally get some of those games that have alluded me over the past few years!
