I got a new lavalier/clip on mic by Audio Technica (this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000... ) to use in my tutorial/lesson videos and I hope this one will work better then my previous one. Can you hear a lot of hiss or rumble? :) Thank you for helping me out, I hope I made the right choice. ♥

The microphone isn't as crystal clear as artists like ASMR Angel, Allie, or Heather. However, it has a slightly muffled sound that actually triggers me better than if they were clear audio. I like the mic, personally.
I know that this is a dry and extremely simple video, it's not very relaxing, I agree. I understand some of you are frustrated with too many of this style of videos lately, I'm sorry it happens like this. I'll do my best to better balance these videos with higher production ones from now on for you. Thank you for you honesty.

The people that are frustrated are people who cannot understand how difficult and time consuming making videos can be. I'm sorry for all of the unsympathetic people that have commented on this video, I really enjoyed it!

This is the first time I've watched this video, almost 4 years after it was posted... I guess people were complaining about this sort of video but man, I'd love to have more like it! Roleplays do nothing for me, although I like the soft speech and usually put them on at bedtime to combat Anxious Brain.
But videos with this mic, and just simple sounds...now there are the tingles!

You just did a high quality roleplay a week ago, I have no idea what people are complaining about! You can't exactly buy all new costumes and props in a week for a 45min-hour long movie essentially...I love these more personal videos, I was going back in your catalog recently to get my non-roleplay Maria fix.

Same...I ran 15 miles..did a full body workout and when I got in I knew I was still gonna have trouble sleeping..I know she genuinely cares and her videos help so much.
Lets ASMR i don't eve have problem with sleeping but i like the relaxation i mostly watch ASMR videos with open eyes and lights on

Hi Maria! I just wanted to say I love your videos and I know a lot of people have commented that you are not making as "high quality videos" on a regular basis as other youtubers are but I and a lot of other people love these types of videos! Not every video needs to be a sophisticated role play, I think these videos are when we can get to know you better and they are very natural and often funny too. I feel like people are putting too much pressure on you to produce videos constantly but if they really appreciated this community and what you do for us I don't think they would mind. I love seeing your videos pop up in my subscription box even if it isn't often, it just makes it more special haha. Thank you for making these videos, we all appreciate you more than you know. And please don't worry about uploading 1000 times, we (most of us) understand and will continue to support you. Sorry that was really long haha x

Completely baffled about the negative comments on here. People saying stuff like this is a 'simple' video...well yeah, it is but it targets some of the most common ASMR triggers (crinkly sounds, soft speaking etc) so why on earth is it not good enough? Not every video will trigger every person... I wish people would show Maria some appreciation for the time and effort she puts into her videos. She is THE original ASMRtist and although she's earning money for it now, she certainly wouldn't have been when she started out and this shows that her videos stem from her passion to help people in the best way she can, which is, ASMR! WE LOVE YOU MARIA
I just wanted to say that I have been following you since nearly the very start of your channel, I have seen you work yourself into the ground and give in to catering to the masses with role plays and seen how unhappy that made you for a long time. In one of your videos a while back you said you would create what YOU wanted and I just wanted to voice my full support of that. You can't please all of the people all of the time, and it's not fair of anyone to expect that. Believe in your content and do the videos you enjoy Maria, when I know you've enjoyed a video, it makes me far more relaxed.

I absolutely love this video. The role plays for me can sometimes seem like too much because they can get impersonal. This video and the other "back to basics" video are my absolute favorites because its just you and you can tell that you love giving everyone tingles! Unboxing videos are really cool and relaxing. I was originally introduced to video asmr from watching people unbox "squishies" soft plush or foam toys, unboxing stuff definitely has nice asmr touch to it alone. The unboxing plus your soft spoken/whispers might make this my new favorite video.
The sound of the paper is exquisite as you unwrap the packages and the sand bottle made great sounds too.
The mic works great,as does the set up.
