    • @Aleksandar6ix
      @Aleksandar6ix 26 дней назад

      Yeah, the sound sources are no doubt the same - biggest difference is the audio mixing, and perhaps additional detail streams on the iFly. We can only compare visually to a certain point as the two sims have slightly different lighting models too. Big difference I saw was on how high the engines sit on the Asobo version.

    Honestly, if the community support is as big as it is for FS2020, we can probably see some open source freeware mod that adds a lot of extra systems and all for the 737 Max, just like the FlyByWire 32NX.

      What I should've stated was that it wouldn't be an automatic purchase for until YOU guys test it out for a year or two and if it works, then MAYBE I would buy it. Sort of like what I'm doing for this mess that's MS 2024!

    Personally, I think the Asobo cockpit looks way better and realistic. Being a person that has being in the cockpit of the MAX many times, the yoke placement and the glareshield design looks weird in the iFly MAX, almost like if the windows were too big, meanwhile in the Asobo variant, it looks sharp and correctly placed. I have a strong feeling that both planes will be undoubtfuly awesome, but in the mean time we'll have to stick with both, iFly and Asobo MAX'es while we wait for the completion of the PMDG variant which will be (personal thoughts) undoubtfuly way better than these.
    I'll deffo will get the iFly but I'll have to get used to the weird looking cockpit while flying it. Otherwise, the cabin and the rest of the 3D modeling looks insane and very promising.

      @@Jmanidol they unfortunately did, they'll begin to focus in a project that sounds to me a lot like the 777X and they're getting their attention back to the MAX once they've completed that secret project.
      In the mean time, let's hope someone makes at least the MAX 9 variant, either it's an iFly version or a community created aircraft just like they did with the Horizon Sim 787-9. That was the main reason I was waiting for PMDG.
      Perhaps now that they're delaying the MAX project, and start to work in cooperation with boeing, it'll give them time to work on the MAX 7 and 10 sysyems and give us the complete family :)

    The ifly sounds like a server room in the cockpit, or am I missing something, I mean I get it, we are not IRL, but cmon, who could concentrate in a cockpit for 7 hours if it were that loud, I mean I cant imagine even being able hear the ATC properly. I think iFly is in trouble on this one, the max you get with the sim seems really good, and like some commenters said below, there is such a high chance that some open source company like FBW comes through and really upgrades it substantially. iFly is great, is it $60-70 worth, when you are getting a max for free that is at least 60%-70% of what you want, I guess each person will have to decide that on their own.

      Instant replay to check the last minutes of your current flight session, with the ability to resume the flight : replay until the moment when you left and continue, or replay until the last moment that was good and resume to fly better the part that you did bad by clicking on the button Take Plane Control.

      and it looks like the ND is from the 787, not from the MAX, no idea how anyone can call it "top quality". It looks very nice for a default aircraft, for sure, but it's so much far from being high quality, and I think it will remain on about the same level as the default 747 and 787 in 2020 now.

  • @juliashenandoah3965
    @juliashenandoah3965 2 месяца назад +10

    Aha now that is interesting, so there is a top-quality 737MAX already implemented in the new FS2024 simulator? From a pure visual point of view some parts of the Microsoft version look way better, for example that round strut under the main cockpit panel and above the rudder pedals is a very strange ugly texture with repetative pattern on the iFly MAX but photorealistic-looking and exactly looking like on real MAX flight deck photos in Google search.
    The fluffy seats look very good in both versions, the FlyPad looks waaay way better and more interesting in the iFly version, and also the fire extinguisher and many details and the circuit breaker boards look very good in the iFly version (unfortunately no comparison to the MS version here because the camera in the Microsoft MAX is never fully tilted back.)
    Also I guess the cabin lighting functions and some other special features will be available only in the iFly version which clearly means I absolute need both MAX versions to get the best of two worlds!
    That is so cool having not one but two high quality 737 MAX to choose from, I am sure a lot of system enhancement mods will be incoming shortly from Working Title and maybe even from FlyByWire. (Because they don´t need to limit themself to Airbus-only.)

They might have been 50% right but still 100% wrong as we did need a third party developer. Also just my opinion but it seems like FS2024 is poorly optimized. Yeah, they both look good. I think that the default is OK until PMDG releases their M-8. Also, the universal tablet in PMDG is super easy and a whole lot less complex vs the 'real-world' type tablet. Besides PMDG might -- big might -- give a 'small' discount for us who already owns the NG version.

    Tbh If you have the pmdg 737-800 or 900 I don’t see why you would get the IFly, you are paying 70 more dollars for the same plane but with bigger screens and different engines. Dont get me wrong its and amazing plane but if you already have the PMDG products and you are on edge then it probably isn’t worth it.

    Runway textures in MSFS 2020 have always been awful. Really weird decisions to make the entire world look so real in a flight simulator but leave so much to be desired when it comes to airport and runways textures!

    • @dtrjones
      @dtrjones 2 месяца назад +1

      You're seeing generic textures of course in these videos. At least in MSFS 2024 they will be updated and the renderer will support higher ground texture resolutions as well, so they should look better.

    MSFS2024 is absolutely not worth of paying full price for like a new game. In fact it's more like an airplane pack or DLC for MSFS2020. I doubt if most of the players will see any significant differences between these 2. MSFS2020 was groundbreaking with terrain generation and real world map, MSFS2024 is just a little polished sequel with some missions - that's all.

      Could you explain yourself a bit more and also you have to take in consideration this is a comparison between a default airplane vs. a very high quality premium payware aircraft. Idk what are you really expecting... The default one isn't even bad for what it is.

    • @ichmagblaukoepfe
      @ichmagblaukoepfe 2 месяца назад

      what the fuck bro? Of course a flight model, that is included into the base of the simulator, is not as good as a payware flight model. In addition, the Ifly 737 Max costs as much as the whole standard edition of Msfs 2024. You can not expect a standard flight model to be as good as a payware model, that costs as much as the whole simulator

    • @FrostbitexP
      @FrostbitexP 2 месяца назад +1

      Because asobo dont/cant put the time and effort into these planes that dedicated aircraft developers that spend years can. Having a much more detailed flight model doesnt mean you can get perfect flight dynamics right away. There are horrible planes in xplane as well even with their great flight modelling for example.
      Also, stop forming your opinion based on one person. Especially that one person who isn't even a pilot let alone a 737 pilot. You sound silly. As if you want ANY reason to justify your dislike of 2024.

    If a default plane is good enough for someone, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some of us just want something extra that 3rd party planes can provide.
