So the solution to floppy wheels is to make *realistic* suspension? Honestly I cant blame Scrap Mechanic for the floppy wheel issue, most people just put their wheels on springs and expect it to work perfectly.ALSO Scrapman your suspensions aren't actually independently articulated, but the fix is easy. All you need to do is add bearings to the tops of your left and right suspensions!
Build Challenge!! If you want a fun little challenge, build the Mach 5 off of the old Anime Speed Racer. Now, you can try buildiing the vehicle to look like the mach 5, but im more talking about the abilities. You got number 1 or A, Auto jacks that boost the car into the air quickly.s 2 or B Belt Tires allow the car to get over rougher terrain or up steep inclines. *Maybe use hidden jets??* 3 or C Cutter Blades. Saw blades that come out of the front of the car. 4 or D Deflector shield. The mach 5 is a convertable, but it usually has no roof. number 4 pulls a clear roof to deflect bullets. 5 or E Evening eye. Special RED lights at the front of the car for better sight in dark conditions. 6 or F Frogger Mode. Closes the Deflector shield, then sprouts a camera from the side of the vehicle to see under water. in the show it also supplied the car with oxigen. 7 or G Go Homing Robot! A deployable flying drone that came out of the hood of the car. It would be hard to do, but once i get this game i am gonna try. Good luck!
If you want the axle to be able to articulate, you need to add free spining bearings to the connection points between the suspension and frame. if one wheel hits a bump the whole axle wont absorb it. Just that wheel wheel will adsorb the bump. It will also make rock crawling and off roading alot easyer.
I was stuck with floppy wheels too. thanks for your steering suspension, I found out using piston + sensors can achieve the same effect and way less stuff needed.
I believe if you took the bottom bearing off from the rear part you would have solved the turning issue at 22:08, that would have given it a solid point to pivot off of while the other one moves freely left and right on a separate pivot point being controlled from the driver.
As someone who recently got back into Scrap Mechanic, I realized you don't even need that complex of suspension. Just have a hinge between the wheel and the rest of the vehicle, place a small spring, and you create a 'MacPherson Strut' suspension system, which is the type of suspension normal cars use, and is super compact. I have never had a flip afterwards. It's not flashy, and it isn't going to win any hill climbs, but it WORKS for road and field use, and prevents flipping over even at high speeds.
at 23:13 move the pivot point on the wheel itself, from the center, to one side and form a triangle on the wheel with the pipe using a 3 way pipe piece and an elbow, that would have allowed the tire to turn and the suspension to remain in place. the triangle forms a strait line down the pivot point, and the point extends outside of the pivot point so it can turn, and the suspension stays on the pivot point strait down to the tip of this triangle.
With the flimsy (or however you write it) suspension, you could’ve just left the steering bearing how it was, but then added a small pipe bend in front with a bearing on top and then a rod to connect the two wheels. That would have made it so the wheels were stronger, since they were connected. Hope that makes sense if you see this.
26:48 Yes, it was painfull :D You should totally remade that front suspension, it do NOT need that much (horizontal) bearings and this truck is using live axle not independent suspension (your suspension is something between this two) Also "cambering" isn´t working right, because springs on side don´t have that bearings in right Dof (they should have vertical bearings) i wish i had PC strong enought to run ScrapMechanic to show you this :/ Btw: Great video, keep on going :D
Yes, it's because they're publishing a game called Raft. Just check this: steamcommunity.com/games/387990/announcements/detail/1439319410145669089 Yeah.. Axolot is just not a developer, but also a publisher.
do a nuclear massile as a attachent for the truck and make the nuke launch like it willl go up and then when press of a button the nuke goes in the air and then fell back to the map¨
The perfect thing for this beast to haul will be a TANK. I am absolutely serious. Russians use these to haul flatbeds with Т-75 on them. And a hook should be replaced with a massive winch.
hi scrapman. great build.. you should try to search racing unimog in workshop. it have some genius sollutions you also could use in multiplayer monday vehicles. she build great stuff..
It's pretty similar to the real thing with steering and tilting but the front is a little bit to long and underneath it's not that empty but good anyway. Nice vid
The trucks in the beginning are 2 different truck witch are the Maz-537 (witch he chose) and the maz-7310 mut with different attachments Im sorry if i spelled something wrong, im not english.
Tried to recreate this and have ran into the floppy wheels while steering and accelerating i left a block out under the seats so you can just walk under it to get in
Im trying the design he used on the bottom for the steering for a truck i am making but for some reason my pipes near the wheel dont want to connect and it wont let me weld them because the rest of the vehicle interects weirdly, any tips
Actually you just needed to put up the Suspension on the other steering and it would have worked because the steering wheels were hitting the truck himself
The truck should carry 1. Tank of Gas 2. A fork lift 3. A car (which was stuck in the mud, and the truck saved it). 4. The truck is a military truck transporting a missile, or it has a missile launcher in the back ready to shoot.

It need more work, and less parts :D
shh let him have his moment
I'm absesd with making realistic suspensions drive shafts flexible frames and big trucks my favorite truck is the 7310 maz
You're indian
Hide your door switches so you can still open the door but so they can't be seen. Like the fridge someone sent you for your mountain base.
Was about to comment this myself

It can carry some kind of container with beds, kitchen etc. It could be a survival/Discovery camper
the real one plows the damn dirt up front then jumps humps like a damn dirt bike!

10:07 aahhh the nostalgia of colony survival. I know it didn't end that long ago but it still you gotta admit it felt like 2 years ago
woops I meant 10:17

I love how in this video when Scrap Man was building the songs kept runnig out so he kept having to switch them.
i guess it is kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good site to stream new series online?

He finally found why double wishbone steering is soo good
Put some seats in a cabin in back and cruise around with the rest of the crew!
Scrap Man is Evolving! Your Scrap Man evolved into...
To be continued the next time Scrap Man brain has a breakthrough.
Will he become a man of scrap?
23:10 the problem was the middle suspension thingy was welded preventing the bars to slide.

Who want skip timestamp?
There
12:32
2:13 the shark in right next to the piston
is scrap mechanics trying to tell us something
Yes, it's because they're publishing a game called Raft. Just check this: steamcommunity.com/games/387990/announcements/detail/1439319410145669089
Yeah.. Axolot is just not a developer, but also a publisher.
10:13 that absolutely slaps
Make a flatbed trailer and possibly multiple trailers it can be welded to
Scrap man, you can still put suspension on the wheels, just put a bearing on them so they can turn
doesnt work like that
You don't get what I mean, I put this vid into slow motion and build the truck, I managed to put suspension on it and it worked just fine
The reason why it was turning was because the wheels were touching the frame
Make a removable crate so you can put what ever you want on it
You do realize that Moonbo made a really simple version of the anti flop system
YES THE FLOPPY WHEEL HAS BEEN SOLVED, THIS WILL BE A GIGANTIC CHANGE FOR SM
If you put a bar on the midle of the stering (in paralel with the others ) and a bering on the suspensio it will probably work
Теперь они узнают, что такое МАЗ. Ok, i glad to see how you build russian truck.
At a part of the time laps i was like that thing is so wide but is so detailed and perfect body shape
do a nuclear massile as a attachent for the truck and make the nuke launch like it willl go up and then when press of a button the nuke goes in the air and then fell back to the map¨
ehghem missile not massile
what the hell is a massile?
The enime of all people bad speillimg
@@Wuxixbdjwjx woht are yu taking about
Well people got wooooooooosed I guess.
Haha
Triple the suspension by adding 3 springs and only connecting the wheel to the middle one then you get 3x the suspension
You are pretty good at scrap mechanic
The perfect thing for this beast to haul will be a TANK. I am absolutely serious. Russians use these to haul flatbeds with Т-75 on them. And a hook should be replaced with a massive winch.
The actual russian MAZ is 8wheel drive and 8 wheel steering.
I laughed so much at the fact that the front suspension does not move like the way he wanted to
I think the electric engine is meant for torque and the gas is for speed
This is how the real maz truck work
i love how he got so tired, he just said “welcm lades n genlmen”
hi scrapman. great build.. you should try to search racing unimog in workshop.
it have some genius sollutions you also could use in multiplayer monday vehicles.
she build great stuff..
I love the idea for the can of gasoline and the hook
This is the way you solve the floppy bearings on your mining car
I find that on bigger things piston assisted steering is the best...
24:09 It's cuz the center suspension is preventing the rack to move from side to side.
He needs to strengthen his suspension so he doesn't bottom out so easily.
Your a really good builder in scrap mechanic scrap man!
Tak jest mój kolega! Bravo ty! ROSJA! Lol good video, as always!
Put Moonbo's piston steering on this, it'd be awesome
Lee Butterworth no
Moonbo made like the worst piston steering out there.
I made a better steering minutes after pistons were out
What is Scrap Mechanic, a game where you're supposed to be "better" then others??
Moonbo i didn't say that it is, I said your piston steering is one of the worst designs, the wheels move way too much
Imagine how powerful this would be in survival
That would be so expensive do lol
You don't need two middle bearings just one
At 13:15, It isn't a Toe Hook. Its actually a Winch.
You should find off road videos to make it better suspension
scrapman: if you don't know what the Russian maz truck is like I did...
me: immediately closes the tab... im truly disappointed in you scrapman
Your suspension is so cheap, and it's not actually an independent suspension. But in all you did it well. Waiting for part two :)
The truck is realy epic i'm proud 👍👍👍👍
You had to use all of your montage music to make that work
Let it tow a military container with military load. Thats what it was made for.
It's pretty similar to the real thing with steering and tilting but the front is a little bit to long and underneath it's not that empty but good anyway. Nice vid
The trucks in the beginning are 2 different truck witch are the Maz-537 (witch he chose) and the maz-7310 mut with different attachments
Im sorry if i spelled something wrong, im not english.
Put a tank or an inter-continental ballistic missile. I think they were used for that.
The best way to realize your mistakes on something you made is by trying to explain how it works to another person.
John Bread I like your profile picture
Lucas Nordman i like yours 🤣
@@snorre-849 I like yours
ksawery wow 2 years ago
I have a friend with a MAZ, and the bumper is exactly like that.
make it pull the biggest vehicle you've ever made
If you like detail so much make the axils solid or independent
That's not independent suspension, it's still a solid axle
Man that time laps tho, it was looong
Transport the other creation. And fire it while driving.
You should use an electric engine at max for realistic torque
You can put a bearing at the top of the suspention
When I was watching scrapman do the suspension, I was like BRUH MOMENT😆
Build a mobile missile launcher that can aim and shoot actual missiles :D
I am so gonna try and recreate this in Survival, though I can only use the vanilla wheels. :(
Marshall Sharkousky try a mod loader
When the time lapse was about to end it was so fast that my phone started to go crazy
Oh?
It looks awesome
17:41 Cool 3D Ilusion
Add a Katyusha Rocket Launcher on the back!
Tried to recreate this and have ran into the floppy wheels while steering and accelerating i left a block out under the seats so you can just walk under it to get in
24:16
Your mistake was the center one blocking the stearing
You've come so far and you've done so well
Wyatt Skillman What?
The rear wheels steer too!!
Im trying the design he used on the bottom for the steering for a truck i am making but for some reason my pipes near the wheel dont want to connect and it wont let me weld them because the rest of the vehicle interects weirdly, any tips
make a trailer that has a non working gipsy danger standing on it and also make gipsy danger only out of metal
You do know that the MAZ can also be found in Spintires
Yap its my favourite
I've seen one of these carrying a big Russian missile, you should have it transport that.
They ate used to basically carry everything there.
Actually you just needed to put up the Suspension on the other steering and it would have worked because the steering wheels were hitting the truck himself
The timelapse being really fast
Me: how are you not dead?
My phone: I have no idea
Brayden Salanoa what
Sorry, I HAD, very bad Glitchy phone that could not handle that speed tatourial
The truck should carry
1. Tank of Gas
2. A fork lift
3. A car (which was stuck in the mud, and the truck saved it).
4. The truck is a military truck transporting a missile, or it has a missile launcher in the back ready to shoot.
If I get Scrap Mechanic, I will make the Marauder bcs it's big and cool
Oh what a throwback
The future of cars, CONCRETE CARS!! :^)
For these comples steering systems look at rc car suspention
If you can make a nuke on the trailer it will be so cool
Put it on the work shop so then someone can upgrade your truck
Make the trailer a tank transporting platform
18:00 instead of straight poles use t-poles and on the suspension
Scrap Man: "Russian MAZ!"
FBI: *I'm about to end this man's whole career*
He he who who poopy
Add to the back a tanker that explode
you need to play spintires
Are the front wheel steerings wrong?
Or just caught on the vehicle because of your lowered supension?
Love ur vids keep up the good work
