Robinson (SAS). - Shaq made up a rumor about David not signing something for him as a kid. This was a hit to the Admiral’s squeaky clean image. Olajuwon (HOU). - completely owned Shaq on & off the court in the 90s. Whenever it mattered - the dream took his soul. Duncan (SAS) - Duncan dominated Shaq. If not for Kobe, the spurs beat the Lakers in every series Divac (Sac). - hated having to be moved for Kobe’s arrival. Wallace (DET) - Shaq just did not like this guy’s physicality for some reason… almost like Ben Wallace was the guy who made it clear Shaq wasn’t nearly as strong as we believed. Then Tim Grover told everyone he was shocked at how weak Shaq’s core was.
Woah woah woah, Shaq and Hakeem were pretty much equals they both couldn’t guard each other in the finals. Hakeem averaged 33, 12 and 5, along with 2steals and 2 blocks on 48% fg shooting. Olajuwon 3 turnovers per game. And Shaq averaged 28, 13 and 6 Along with 3 blocks per game on 60% fg shooting. O’Neal 5 turnovers per game. The finals would’ve been better/ home on longer if nick anderson and Dennis scot (the magics third and forth option on offense didn’t turn into a double agents for the magic) also if they both didn’t shoot below 40% from the field.
Good video! I'd love to see head to head videos for the big 80s guys: Bird, Magic, Jordan, and Dr. J. and as always, my favorite, Mr. Fundamentals, Tim Duncan. Also, crazy how Chauncey Billups has winning records against some of the greatest of all time, Jordan, LeBron, and Kobe if I remember correctly
David Robinson was top scorer almost the entire 93-94 season. Shaquille O'Neal took the lead with 3 days remaining, putting up 53 points against the Wolves - in an effort to steal the top scorer title from Robinson. David only took back what O'Neal tried to take from him.
To be fair who was scored that many without being force fed as you put it? I agree with you. I just can't think of any that weren't feed. From Wilt to kobe hell even giannis not to long ago.
ruclips.net/video/bvak2JkvQ_8/видео.htmlsi=JR6d8xFOKMG7umup This was game was different. They were giving up easy layups to give Robinson the ball, and when they were up by 30, they didn't sub him out.
@@fiozfantominout they were, no disagreement there. But a lot of that with the spurs specifically had to do with how well liked and respected he was by his teammates. It was widely know that shaq was telling a lie about Robinson refusing to give him an autograph. Not for nothing but it was also against the Clippers. No way could Elmore Spence or Bob Martin slow down Robinson. Truthfully Robinson should be disappointed he only got 71 against them. The bigger question is why did the clippers let him score so many? In the era of hard fouls. Even the Knicks fouled warrior players other than Chamberlain just so he wouldnt keep scoring. Obviously that strategy didn't work. But still they tried something. Its embarssing to have your opponent go off like that even if he was feed the ball. That more of a reason to pick up a flagrant foul and send a message you can beat us but not embarrass us. But thats just my opinion.
@@fiozfantominout I will say this since I looked at the box score. He didnt play the whole game he sat for 4 minutes lol. Did you notice how badly they were shooting? Terry Cummings a good shooter was 2 out of 10. Loyd sweet pea Daniels 2 for 7. Rodman not know for scoring was 4 for 5. At the end of the day I agree there goal was to get Robinson points. But had they not they mostly wouldnt have won even though that was a meaningless game for them if I remember right?
@@jasonnelson6624 I agree. I felt like Shaquille O'Neal was seen as young and arrogant in the 90s, and that added motivation for the Spurs to play like that. I felt like Robinson could have easily scored more.
Ngl Hakeem and David Robinson won against Shaq stealing a Championship and scoring title 😂 And Ben Wallace also beat him with the Championship and broke up Kobe and Shaq

What about Rik Smits? The dude shaq himself was his biggest issue when he was in orlando?
😅😅
What about Karl Malone or Patrick Ewing?
Id say his biggest rival was Hakeem and Ben Wallace
I would say Hakeem and David Robinson
Robinson (SAS).
- Shaq made up a rumor about David not signing something for him as a kid. This was a hit to the Admiral’s squeaky clean image.
Olajuwon (HOU).

Duncan (SAS)
- Duncan dominated Shaq. If not for Kobe, the spurs beat the Lakers in every series
Divac (Sac).

Wallace (DET)
- Shaq just did not like this guy’s physicality for some reason… almost like Ben Wallace was the guy who made it clear Shaq wasn’t nearly as strong as we believed. Then Tim Grover told everyone he was shocked at how weak Shaq’s core was.
if duncan didnt have robinson shaq would average 40 vs the spurs and if they didnt have parker and ginobili shaq sweeps every series

The ben 10 joke got me 😂
Your content is really good, especially as of late, would really watch some other vids dedicated to one great player
Thank you RR
Shaq vs Hakeem isn't fair comparison. After 1996 Hakeem was out of his prime.
Interesting vid
8:27 bro made the commisoner laugh 😂
good video rebound rewind keep up the good work
The clown music during the Chuck part got me 😂
9:56 Speaking of: Kobe (excluding Shaq, replace him with Derek Fisher, who was drafted in the same class).
Secret base just made a similar video. Nice
shaq still mad about Arvydas Sabonis and Blazers.
Shaq and Chuck are rivals in a sibling sort of way, with Chuck being the older brother who likes to mess with his younger sibling but still loves him.
You’re missing Rodman, only player to shut him down with one on one defense.
B Wallace says Hello
@@_thebulldozerben was shaq’s kryptonite
You and Secret Base got the hive mind lol
Yeah that was a straight up coincidence. I had no idea they were also working on a similar topic.
Yea that’s wild I see y’all back to back 😂

whelp this does it.. Duncan > Shaq
You’re not wrong. I’ve got Duncan’s career at #4 overall and Shaq’s career at #5 overall. 🏀
Shaq v. JaVale McGee!
You forgot Bill Walton. But in fairness, they never faced each other on the court
Should've put Shaq vs Javale McGee too
I saw that David Robinson 72 point game. His team force-fed him the ball. Robinson by himself wouldn't do that.
