    Zane is crazy talented. And, seems like a great guy to sit and talk gear with.

      Thanks Brett! I have so much to learn when it comes to gear, so it was an honor being on Premier Guitar in front of the most studious of gear nerds!

      I met him after a Jonny Lang gig in Belgium. Very nice guy. Gave me a pick which I still have. Still listening to his earlier records which are also awesome.

    I absolutely love the subtle nuances in his playing. Even if people listening can’t hear certain things he can and it matters and those small things make the world of difference. Also loving the way he used pedals in a similar way, he can use a simple little slap to completely transform his playing. So good.

    I’m not the biggest fan of these zoom type rig rundowns( but there’s really no other way at the present time), but this one was probably one of my favorite rig rundowns ever. Loved the gear, playing and personality of Zane (I did hear I’m years ago on the Broadway Spider-Man!). Great stuff!

      Aww thank Joao! I've put SOOOO much time and care into the camera/tech setup here since lockdown, so I appreciate that compliment so much! I want y'all to feel like you're in the same room as me on my Twitch streams and RUclips videos so I'm glad the hard work is paying off!

    Zane’s love for and fascination with music is really infectious. I could listen to him explaining harmonies for ever. I share his love for old world broken sounds. I don’t share his level of insight and flawless technique obviously. When Zane do things off the cuff and suddenly forgets what he is doing and plays his version of messy, I can fantasize that maybe one day I could get close to that at least. Then I snap out of it. Even at such an extreme level he inspires to experiment and not be so hard on your playing. That’s his gift.

    • @ZaneCarney
      @ZaneCarney 3 года назад +3

      I bet ya DO share my level of (as you called it) insight and technique! Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking time to watch this Rig Rundown!

    Zane is a cool cat and I like the fact that he is in to different styles and the jazz background. I would like to have heard a little playing and gear sounds than all of this jabbering and relatively adolescent questions. So what's with the cheesy lawn mowing service sign behind you ? No class man.
