In love with Fuerteventura! Caleta is a beautiful place and we love it. Been 7 times in the last 4 year's. Amazing to see your videos, miss the place. Thank you for sharing.
Hallo JP... Ja das sind die schöne Plätze auf fuerte... würde noch dazu sagen die Dünen von Corralejo , Ahuy und Mirador von La Pared... Liebe Grüße und nur weiter so.... Leo aus Wien
JP great filming mate. I am back there in May love this island. Starting to explore it more each time we come. Intend to explore the south of the island by car as we always stay in Caleta. Thanks for the ideas 👍
Hi JP Great to see your channel and nice that you live on the Island. My name is Ray (Floatwithme) a Dutch composer. In my collection there is a film composing about Fuerteventura I have done. We have visited it last year for summer holiday again. I just love the island and been there a few times. Keep up that great work. Cheers Ray :)
Very good. I live in the middle of the island and am always looking for new places, especially when people come to stay. My 5 are quite different but your Jandia beach segment has given me an idea for some German relatives coming over soon.
JP very impressed with your relaxed VLogs. I quite envy your lifestyle something I thought I would do but my partner does not want to take the plunge. Having visited Fuerteventura for over 20 years and made over 30 visits mainly in the Southern area of the island, I do like La Olivia area where you live, accessible to everywhere. Don’t stop the VLogs...
Thank you Michael. Not wanting to leave grandchildren behind seems to one of the biggest reasons people have for not actually making the move. It isn't for everyone. Thanks for watching.
We'll be staying in Lanzarote, so we'll just be over for a day trip, hoping to film as much as poss'. We should be free any time between 1st - 5th March. Any of those dates preferable for you? Otherwise I guess we might just pick the least expensive day to go by ferry (if it makes much difference?)
That is a bit too far in advance for me to know so any date. I don't think the ferry prices vary very much. Just send me a message when you know which day and hopefully we can arrange something.
There are some great views here. Well it is greener at the moment as we have had a fair bit of rain this year so far (well for here - not by UK standards). Everything grows in the winter and dies off for the summer so it doesn't look very green in the summer. You should visit and see for yourself Bob. Thanks for watching.
Nice one JP. My wife and I are in Fuerteventura until Saturday evening. I will show her some of your suggestions. We fancy the zoo, but the beaches here near here (Parque Holandes) are pretty good, although the weather looks crap tomorrow.
Certainly if you just drive north from Parque Holandés to the start of the dunes beaches it is hard to beat them. Unfortunately it doesn't look very promising for tomorrow. Perhaps Oasis Park (the zoo) might be a better bet. Enjoy the rest of your stay and thanks for watching and commenting.
Great video JP. Been to Fuerteventura a couple of times, can't wait to get back again. Keep the videos coming, they are a great inspiration and are very well made! Merry Christmas to you both!
That's very nice of you to say. I will pass it on to Sue - she went to the UK today for Christmas leaving me and the dogs to ourselves. I hope you have a good one too.
Thanks for sharing the beautiful video of Fuerteventura...i've been to the south of Spain but never get to the islands...greetings from indonesia and best wishes for 2019...:)
Another great vlog JP. I visited Gran Canaria for the first time in October, thought it was fantastic. Could see myself living there within the next couple of years. You're living the life that thousands upon thousands of brits wish they could. I guess you were brave enough to go out there and do it. Continue to film informative and visually good vlogs! Oh, I loved your vlog about being a morning person. I could have made that, I hate mornings. I'm an owl, wake up late and go to bed in the early hours.
Hi JP thank you for your videos.I’m travelling alone with my two children to Corralejo next week.I would like them to see other part of the island. What is best form of transport and not costly.Bus routes? Many thanks
The buses are reliable and fairly cheap but the routes are a little limited. The best way is a hire car but if you don't want to do that then booking an island might be best for you. At least you would see most things in one day.
@@JPinFuerteventura Thank you very much for your reply. Also any recommendations for good restaurants around there?Thank you in advance for any suggestions.Regards
@@favad29 I never recommend restaurants. What one person loves another hates. There is a whole range though right down to a Burger King and a recently opened KFC (sadly).
Ich stimme zu, dass der Strand ist schön, aber ich mag Costa Calma nicht. Es wird von riesigen Hotels dominiert. Aber jeder hat eine andere Meinung. Danke fürs zuschauen Lilo.
Yes, there are various cycle paths, all built with EU money, but not everywhere obviously. There are also plenty of tracks you can ride mountain bikes on.
Having visited Fuerte & determined to go back soon I agree with all you say except Betancuria. IMO a completely spoilt tourist trap. Lovely location but I wouldn’t have been surprised if Disney had managed the refurb
I have been to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Me and my girlfriend have a dream about living in the Canaries. None of us like the cold weather or the stress of North Europe. Then again we can not just move. How can foreigners create their own living in the Canaries? Obviously it would help in Fuerteventura if I was a pro at kiting or wind surfing. In GC I could work with tourism or a salesperson for time share. But it does not interest me and I don't have experience in that. Another thing is which Island to live in. We didn't like Tenerife so that is out of the question. We don't know Lanzarote well enough so that leaves two. I think GC would be our best option, but it does not seem very realistic as living there is not free :D Interesting video. I also liked Cotillo very much.
Making a living here certainly isn't easy. What jobs there are tend to be poorly paid unfortunately. GC would have more opportunities I guess as it is larger. It is hard to say what is best. Thanks for watching and for commenting and good luck!

Thanks for the advice on where to go! I was wondering on if you could advise on the weather late Feb - early march? Would it be possible to swim? Also would I notice much difference between costa calma, corralejo and caleta de fuste? I know other Canary Islands have big variations between north and south.
Hi Ryan. It is always possible to get a little rain then but I would be pretty sure you will have mostly lovely weather. You can swim year round here. There isn't much difference between north and south as far as the weather goes here. In places like Tenerife it does because of the huge mountain in the middle. Thanks for watching and your comment.
RyanS in my opinion you should go to bronze mar beach it's an English speaking hotel plays English speaking songs so songs that are trending and has stuff on at night time has all inclusive and it is in caleta da fuste

Just like most groups of people Kevin I have met some really nice ones and some who are not so nice. I suppose the one thing I don't like is the attitude of many to dogs, hunters in particular.
Well it is true that the prevailing wind is from the north-east, so it hits the north first, but I am not sure it makes much difference. Kite surfing is just as popular down south as in the north for example, if that is an indication. Thanks for watching and commenting Adrian.
What time of year are you considering? Morro Jable is probably one of the only places down south that actually feels Spanish. Jandia and Costa Calma are just tourist resorts, dominated by huge all-inclusive hotels.
1st til the 12th of May I think. Still a bit torn if I should go to Fuerte or to Tenerife because of the wind but the beaches in Fuerte are definitely more beautiful by far. Me and my boyfriend is looking for a place to just relax and swim, sunbathing while reading books, etc.
Hi. I live in the north of the island so unfortunately I have no idea what hire car places may be close to your hotel. From past experience it is often cheaper to book online before you leave for your whole stay and pick up and drop off at the airport. That also saves waiting for transfers too. The most often recommended are Autoreisen, Payless and Cicar but avoid Goldcar. Also worth trying booking agent websites like doyouspain.com and low-cost-car.com - Thanks for watching.
