I finished DS2 last night and couldn't beat Vorkath with a couple of the guides I had watched, this one described the woox walk just easy enough for me to pull it off right after I watched this video 😂😂 earned my sub chad dragon slayer
Finished DS2 a few days ago and immediately went to attempt Vork a few times with a range setup at 90 range (NO DHCB). Was wiped 8-10 times and felt my damage was inconsistent and struggled with the venom wave. I’m max melee combat and figured that would yield me better results. This guide immediately helped me accomplish my first 2 kills. Bought the Dragon Lance and it definitely makes a big difference for my melee stats. Now i jus that’s to perfect the wox walk so I can extend my trips and save supplies. Thank you so much for this guide!
As someone with 1k vorkath KC and has been playing runescape on/off since 2005/2006. Best tip I can give for this boss (as a melee but i'm sure its useful as a range) have your run OFF. And utilize the default ctrl keybind to run (not a lot of people know about this) so you have your run off, you can just woox walk during the acid phase and during the normal phase whenever he drops a meteor on you, just hold your ctrl, click 2 tiles. when you hold ctrl it acts as if your run is turned on and you'll run for as long as you have ctrl held down.
I've been doing range at Vork for a min, and I decided to switch to melee instead cuz like you said "range is getting expensive" lmao. This was one of the greatest guides I've ever seen for Vork. Most other ones made it ridiculous af to follow. This was straight to the point, and didnt put me to sleep. Definitely got a sub outta me bro. So glad this popped up fr fr lmao.

Hey Darnic great video. Pro Tip. Use Runelite to show TRUE TILE and also set floor markers and then you can show noobs EASILY how to woox walk. Helps so much
For anybody who decided to buy this setup like I did, make sure to put the lance on stab! Makes a huge difference in DPS, I forgot to do that for the first few trips!

It is worth mentioning that if you hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard your character will walk to wherever you click on even if your run is still turned on. Imo, just holding Ctrl during woox walk is way easier than trying to turn my run off and back on again.

Since posting my first comment i'm now at 620 KC and woox walking like a champ at this point. Shooting for the :54 second kill but current best is 1:02. No mega drops yet but from 620 KC I've made 96m. Money dragon for the win!

Great guide bro. Because of this I decided to sell most of my bank to buy that lance, and let me tell you - it's SO much more chill than using a blowpipe. Question tho: could you not use lance + DFS and then pray range to basically negate all damage?
If you used anti fire and the shield while using melee and praying ranged you'd negate all damage BUT it's a big sacrifice to dps when you give up the dragon/avernic defender
Hey nice guide, just want to comment that you should really run your stats in the DPS calc spreadsheet to determine the optimal max hit. My optimal max hit: 64 with 99str, fcape, zerker, fero, primos, bcp+tass, avernic, faceguard (200m~ total currently) on Controlled attack style. To reach 66max, you need either full torva (+1.3b) OR 1 piece of torva with infernal cape (+300m). Going up a max hit will significantly increase your kill speeds since you'll be avoiding more of vork's invulnerable and reduced-damage phases. For poor people, you should still be able to hit 62max or 61max. Calc your own stats if you are below 99str. Sitting at around 2k kc, hope this helps.

Best woox walk explanation, I actually got it down pretty quick, left a like and it really deserves more of them, and all of the expensive stuff pays for itself later if anyone's on the fence about it still, im averaging minute and a half kills with eeeeaaase, not even with the best stats and kind of a casual
I just got my 50kc vorkath head with dragon crossbow and it definitley is very expensive ranging. Probably spending 30-50% of the money made on food pots and arrows. So it’s not as much money per hour as you think unless your capable of doing 2-3 kills per run. The most I have done is 2 kills before banking but I’m sure ppl do 3-4 per run. That’s how you make money. I’m going to try and learn the melee way now that I mastered range way.

I truly despise meleeing vorkaht. But thanks for the tips, I have to rebuild with lance after drunken pvp escapades. And yes, that damn super mega death attack happens whenever you don't pay attention.
If you can’t afford a lance, the Zammy hasta is actually still very good for Vork. It’s obviously less dps than the lance but believe me when I say it still works very well!
I only really kill Vorky when I have a blue dragon task. I do not enjoy the fight. I use to ranger him, which was probably why I hated it. I did try melee back during this last Leagues, and even without all the League buffs, I could tell melee was much easier and laid back. Even started learn the Woox walk. Haven't done it in normal game. Took about a 6 month break, and currently meleeing Alchem Hydra. 2 Hydra leathers within first 50kills. Kind of neat.
melee is great but range you kill it faster (for me) i use dragon hunter crossbow full void slave (ei) ruby db (E) with dragonfire ward with pegasian boots. it take 1m to 1:30min to kill it kinda fast

Check if you even get a max hit with the faceguard, with my setup it's the same max hit as serp helm, so serp helm is actually WAY better than faceguard for vorkath most of the time.
is it weird that in the instance i get a super long delay when i click somwhere compared to not in the instance? i died like 4 times because of that and gave up
How does bandos godsword spec work? I’ve been using a dragon war hammer because bandos spec description says that it lowers a random stat, while the war hammer always lowers defense. Right?? Or am I missing something
It drains defence, strength, prayer, attack, magic, and ranged per what you hit. Pretty sure it’s better than DWH here because DWH won’t reduce as much if you get 2 big specs off with the BGS.
@@Darnic99 damn gotcha. I thought it drained just one of those stats randomly, not all at once. Crazy. I typically only use one spec per kill though so I have enough for the next kill. Usually get 4 kills per trip before I leave to due to no inventory space. Anyways nice vid and thanks for answering my question!

Yeah you'll want dragon claws for extra DPS or a BGS to reduce def levels
