Two amazing characters! Very well written and complex. Can't wait for season 2 and what it has in store for us. I got chills from this tribute. Alicent is really interesting and subtle like her dad. Knows how to play the political game. Rhaenyra is really cool too.

Rhaenrya is Alicent's soulmate. And I think Deep Down Alicent is Rhaneyra's first love.

They called Alicent "queen" because she was married to Viserys but they called Rhaenyra "queen" because she was born to the throne. She was really the true queen
Alicent was a queen consort,now merely a Queen Dowager. Rhaenyra is a Queen regnant.

Perhaps the only heroine who at least a little resembles the ambiguous and curious heroes in the Game of Thrones is Alicent. I don't really understand why there is so much hatred for her, and even more so, comparisons with Cersei.
Being married to Viserys, she took care of him to the last and was really faithful to him. The piety and upbringing of the Hightowers has left its mark, but this is the lesser of evils.
When she was young, she persuaded Viserys to help her brother in the war, when as the future queen she had no idea that there was a war going on in the kingdom.
When the princess got into her trouble with her ass, Alicent believed her friend and took her side, once again standing up for her in front of the king. As a result... her father was expelled, and that same friend "let her down".
After years of loyalty to the king and the state, giving birth to children in marriage, she received... the name Emma is from her husband and a complete disregard for her own children. When Aemond was bullied, no one could put either Aegon or Rhaenyra's children in their place. After Aamond's eye was cut out, Viserys didn't even punish the bastards. The scene with the dagger is literally a scene of despair of a mother whose child was mutilated. Perhaps she was the only one who cared about the boy (I think it was then that Aamond himself realized this, which influenced their further such warm relations; at the same time, he realized who his enemies were when his sister, in her spirit, accused her bleeding brother of treason, for which they were executed in Westeros). And like any mother, Alicent, having fallen into despair, rushed to protect her child, which she almost immediately regretted, because despite the cries of Rhaenyra's fans, she was not mad, by no means.
After these events, Rhaenyra herself left the capital and for all these years neither she nor Daemon even thought of visiting the sick aging Viserys. Did they realize that Viserys would be left alone with the Hightowers and they would rule? This is as obvious as the origin of the "strong" boys. And when it smelled fried and the inheritance of the child began to float away through their fingers, the relatives suddenly suddenly remembered the king and hurried to the capital where, oh, surprisingly, someone was engaged in politics all this time (well, why would the future queen, if it was possible to score on the future throne, politics and her own father to cost a nest with a new spouse).
Alicent is not Mother Teresa, nevertheless she took care of Viserys. Even on the last night of his life, she was by his side. The old man didn't have half of his face! He was just a walking corpse. It's amazing that he somehow managed to survive all these years on poppy milk. Without him, he would have given his soul to the seven much earlier from the pain shock..
And finally, after the death of Viserys, Alicent again stood up for her ex-friend, protecting her and her children's lives before the council, tried to reason with Aegon, who was crowned at that time, and openly opposed her father's will, which indicates a significant growth of the girl since the beginning of the series.
Unfortunately, most viewers, by definition, at the beginning of viewing, begin to divide the heroes of TV series and movies into bad and good, dividing black and white, forgetting that everything is much more interesting in the world).
