- On the one hand, Infinity Nikki is the console-ready follow-up to the Miracle Nikki and Shining Nikki series of dress-up games on mobile from Chinese game publisher Infold. On the other, it takes some influence from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with ex-Nintendo BOTW director Kentaro Tominaga as its executive producer. And as I discovered from three hours playing a packed new demo on PC, Infinity Nikki blends the best of these two disparate worlds - and tucks a ton of surprises under its sparkly belt. So this is Shinning Nikki meets The Legend of Zelda meets Genshin Impact and a touch of Atelier...... one way to describe it is interesting and very beautiful.

Kentaro Tominaga, a developer on multiple Zelda games like Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, A Link Between Worlds, Four Swords, BOTW, and also the director for the BOTW dlc, is on the development team for this game.

As someone who played the Linkle and Zelda mods for botw, this game was made for me.
For gacha players, free costumes in a game is one way to hook us in.
The potential is limitless considering that each dress could always bring something new to the game every update! And also a ton of money for them!

@matteste honestly, idk, but most likely yes. They do need to gain money from somewhere.... it's most likely gacha for those limited time dresses with events like in Shinning Nikki.
As for dungeons, they were most likely for farming materials to create dresses like dyes, cloths, or money, similiar to the original Love Nikki lol
literally my dream game. Open world, beautiful scenery, fun gameplay (with a bit of a girlish side to it) aswell as dress up. Can't waitt

The Nikki storyline is actually surprisingly bloody. 😅 Not sure how intense this game will be but the first chapter of Shining Nikki sees a girl set herself and a whole theater on fire.

@MiguelRodriguez-zr7of honestly feels more close to botw then genshin since nikki is more about creative uses of her powers like link and his abilities than the numbers based combat of genshin. Also a bit of mario odyssey with the feeling of collecting and there u go ☺️

F2P gacha, nikki games have a lot of recharges though (clothes/sets, camera features, monthly cards, etc.,);theres combat but its a one shot combat, since its not a combat focused game, the game is more puzzle and platforming and taking pictures in cute clothes!

The HUD design (dialogue box, shortcut icons, etc) look very Genshin Impact. Coupled with Blings looking a bit like Primogems. So for those playing both games it is kind of like "WHOAH! 100 PRIMOGEMS EVERYWHERE" one moment and then "Nooooo my primogems T_T"
This HUD design is very common and is used in many more games before Genshin

Yes, the game is starting out as a Beta play test later this year.
Many of the clips used in this video were taken from the first trailer that came out back in 2022, so there are a lot of missing details (especially animations and special effects) in those parts.

Looks like they got rid of my favorite chaotic part from the mobile games. Putting together the most random bunch of clothes in order to up your score for challenges (each item has a bunch of attributes like cute, lively , elegant, and tags like home wear, evening gown, fairy. And each level has requirements) 😅
