@@MattTitchenal Man, I wish the spots I went had as many bugs as the spots you go to! Some of those rocks were FILLED! I'll be out Saturday as well! I kinda love that they switched the start time to 6am this year.
@@MattTitchenal I've found a couple ok ones. Most productive was probably 1,000 steps, thinking about trying out Little Corona on Saturday though. Have you been to that beach?
Thanks! Yeah, they are very quick. It takes time to get good at grabbing them (keep in mind this video only shows successful grabs haha). I think their eyesight is really bad so they react only when they feel something on their feelers. That's why you have to be quick.
Hey Brandon, awesome video. I just came back from leave and recently I’ve grown an interest in fishing but more particularly lobster and sea urchin. I’m stationed in San Pedro so there’s a bunch of spots around me that seem to be feasible. Hoping you can point me in the right direction. Thanks !
This made me smile, been wanting to catch spiny myself but no boat no jetski ni place that i know where to 🥴🥴🥴... doin research right now and found your video!!!
@@MattTitchenal I've been seeing lots of lobster in Malibu this summer, right off the beach in about 10 feet of water. Most people don't believe that they're out there, along with Garibaldi, Calicos, horn sharks, leopard sharks, and schools of anchovies
This is still the best lobster diving video on RUclips. Never fails to get me stoked for season.
Thanks man! Gets me stoked as well! Can't wait for Saturday!

@@busyscott Haha I'm sure you'll find some spots like that sooner or later. Just keep exploring! Good luck and dive safe!

@@busyscott No, I haven't been there, but definitely worth exploring!
Killer Intro! 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks!
Much respect for not using tanks!
That 1:50 mark...........
Thanks!
And I’m back for another dose of some pure lobster stoke before season starts
Awesome video, some of those cracks and caves are incredible.
Thanks! Yeah I was lucky enough to find some good spots
Amazing video! How do u hold your breath this long? It would be very useful for me to have a longer breath hold
Holding your breath is all about relaxing underwater and practice. I recommend taking a freediving course if you want to become a better diver :)
Great video man. Love the editting.
Thanks man!
Killer edit! The intro!
Thanks man!
A great video. I didn't realize how fast those bugs are. Do you know why they don't move till you make a move?

@@kendps1587 Thanks, good luck! Depth ranged from 10 ft to 50 ft.

The California spiny lobster can be anywhere from 5 feet deep to much much deeper, depending on the time of year.
